It's about the only geographical feature outside the states that a MAGA supporter will be able to identify, but to the rest of the planet it will remain the gulf of Mexico.

I think it's Gulf of America in the US and on US maps and officially Gulf of Mexico in the rest of the world.

I guess this is a good time to bring up the question of whether or not official and legitimate are synonyms.

The Trump regime can make a name change official, but whether or not it's considered legitimate is an additional, separate question. What gives diktats of the Trump regime any legitimacy whatsoever?

Gulf of Alaska
Caribbean Sea
Hudson Bay

I'm in Europe and I see it as: Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)
