I dreamed I was in prison. I spent a lot of time sitting around waiting. There was an feeling of waiting on an impending and unpleasant fate. My co-criminals were trying to set me up somehow. Some friends, huh? Eventually I found myself in a huge room full of people. There was an indestructible marauding samurai slaughtering everyone. I managed to avoid his sword swings, and escape out of a window (it's a very secure prison, obviously). Then I went out exploring the prison grounds, and eventually I found myself in the chapel, but any details about it escape me now. That's pretty much it really. What's mildly interesting about the dream to me, is that on Saturday I was listening to a podcast on the subject of lucid dreaming in which they talked about a recurring dream Bruce Lee apparently had about an indestructible samurai. It's pretty interesting that that made it into my dream.

Crime and Criminals
To dream that you are a criminal, indicates that you are looking for a short cut in life. You are selling yourself short and underestimating your own potential.Alternatively, the dream means that you feel you are entitled to certain things.
Convict
To dream that you are a convict, suggests that some situation or relationship is making you feel restricted. You may be experiencing a loss of freedom in some area of your life. Alternatively, the dream represents your feelings of shame and guilt. This dream image is trying to tell you to stop punishing yourself. To see people you don't know in your dream, denotes hidden aspects of yourself that you need to confront or acknowledge. To see a convict in your dream, indicates that an aspect of yourself is unable to freely express itself.
Room
To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a specific relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality. If you see a confined room, then it denotes that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.
Imprisonment
To dream that you are imprisoned, suggests that you are feeling trapped or unable to move beyond a certain point. Perhaps your outdated beliefs or old ways of thinking is preventing you from going forward.
Prison
To dream that you are in prison, indicates that you are being censored in some area of your life. You feel that your creativity is being limited and that you are not allowed to express yourself. To see someone else in prison in your dream, signifies an aspect of yourself that you are unable to express freely. To dream that you or someone is released or has escaped from prison, means that you need to make some major changes in your waking life. Eventually, you will overcome your obstacles
Samurai
To see or dream that you are a samurai, symbolizes loyalty, honor, duty and discipline. You need to work on some commitment issue. An indestructible Samurai would indicate you are working towards improving your self-discipline and ethics to the point where they are unimpeachable, to the goal of transcendence of karma.
Sword
To dream that someone is wielding a sword, represents one's strength, ambition, competitive nature decisiveness and willpower. You are looking to hold a position of prestige, authority, and distinction. Alternatively, the sword may be seen as a phallic symbol and thus represent masculine power.
Church or Chapel
To see the outside of the church in your dream, signifies sacredness and spiritual nourishment. It is representative of your value system and the things you hold sacred. To dream that you are inside a church, suggests that you are seeking for spiritual enlightenment and guidance. You are looking to be uplifted in some way. Perhaps you have made some past mistakes which have set you back on your path toward your goals. With proper support, you will get on the right track again. Alternatively, the dream may also mean that you are questioning and debating your life path and where it is leading. You are reevaluating what you want to do.
Window
To see a window in your dream, signifies bright hopes, vast possibilities and insight. To dream that you are looking out the window, signifies your outlook on life, your consciousness and your point of view. It also refers to your intuition and awareness. You may be reflecting on a decision. Or you need to go out into the larger world and experience life.
Escape
To dream that you escape from jail or some place of confinement, signifies your need to escape from a restrictive situation or attitude. Alternatively, it suggests that you are refusing to face your problems. You are avoiding the situation, instead of confronting them.

i dreamt a very unpleasant dream, in a middle eastern country with sharia law firmly in place, and this poor naked lady was strapped down on an operating table, and her right hand was braced upwards and a "surgeon" [torturer] sliced off her hand at the wrist, with a power saw, and it made a nasty ZCXING! noise with lots of blood and tissue splatter, and the lady shrieked with pain as she was not anaesthetized for this punitive amputation- when she screamed, the "surgeon" became sadistically angry and said "you DARE open your evil mouth to ME?!" and then he sliced off more of her stump, at which point i awoke.

In real life a friend mentioned he was going on vacation.

The next night I dreamt that this friend and I agreed to go on a joint vacation-me and his family. We just needed to decide where our destination was.

He came to me with an idea:"lets go to Kurdistan - I know someone who knows about a certain mountain there were the remains of noah's ark can be found. We all will take a working vacation doing a few weeks of archeaology- dig it up- and become world famous!"

So I took my own day trip to check it out before hand.

I traveled around the mountains farm fields villages and interviewed the local villagers.
I came back and told my friend that I learned alot. "I learned that you might be on to something- the ark might be findable on that mountian. But I also learned that the kurdish locals are ready to rise up in revolt against the arab dictator so the place is about to become a war zone. Not a good year to do this."
He was a disappointed. We put off picking another destination, and just went to my favorite used record shop to browse and pass the time. But then my car got towed in the parking lot...then it became a mundane tale of fumbling ro my cell phone to try to call the impound lot.

How did you get that red in there?

I'd forgotten I'd dreamt that, up there ^ thanks for unravelling it. I always seem blind to my own dream symbols. Too close maybe :?:

It IS! Im surprised you didnt get PTSS from your own dream!
I dont know what it means.
If the naked lady was sexually desirable it suggests pain juxtaposed with pleasure- but in a rather intense way- that might be a clue to what it all means.

you have to left-bracket[, then type "color=red" (for example, leave out the quotation marks) then right bracket], then the text you wish to colorize, then left bracket[ then "/color" (no quotation marks) then right bracket]. i can't figure out how to make this post window show the actual code, sorry, i hope my roundabout description makes sense. maybe some good WPer can teach me how to illustrate code in the posting window, please?

maybe it is a case of "physician, heal thyself" IOW one cannot as readily see properly to fix one's own problems of the self/body, as can a dispassionate outside entity. i'm not so hot at interpreting my own dreams also.

Yeah, are you aware of the mythological figure Chiron?

Last night I dreamed that I was in a field with a greeting card stand and there was a bunch of cards with me naked on them. So I picked them all up and put them in my pocket, lest someone see them. Then I dreamed a really filthy dream that I can't recount here.

i don't have the pain-with-pleasure gene- pain totally kills pleasure for me. the dream was an example of a "cold" nightmare, IOW a dispassionate trip through a nightmarish scenario, with no actual adrenalin component pumping up the intensity, as opposed to a "hot" nightmare where i'd be fully aware of the pain and terror, later awaking in a terrified panting flop sweat. i am glad that if i must have nightmares now and then, that at least some of them be in the former category. it probably was an accumulation of neural garbage associated with seeing repetitive news reports about the awful way many middle-eastern women are treated in their home countries.

:!: WARNING- DISTURBING CONTENT BELOW- VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED :!:

anyways, i had another cold nightmare involving a horrified family watching their own children on a live crime scene playing on a big-screen wall-mounted TV- this then segued into the real scene before the news cameras, of a bunch of bully girls [being the family's daughters] abusing one another verbally, then progressing into mutual slaps and kicks and bites and gouges, until one big amazon blonde pulls out a meat cleaver, grabs some little brunette by the hair and carves a big bloody ear-to-ear smiley on her neck before shoving her to the ground and stomping on her corpse- then all the rest of the gals became enraged and then jumped on the blonde and tore her hair out in fleshy hunks and then ripped her to shreds. then i awoke. this dream also is neural garbage from watching news reports about school girls engaging in knock-down drag-out fights being recorded for youtube.

you can also alter text size by typing left bracket[ size=24] (for example) right bracket] then the text to enlarge or reduce- lower number=smaller point typesize- then left bracket[ /size then right bracket]

for example, BIG!

Greeting Card
To see a greeting card in your dream, suggests that surprises are in store ahead. If you are giving or receiving a card, then it indicates a need for you to make contact with the sender or recipient of the card.
Naked
To dream that you are naked, denotes fear of being found out and exposed over your activities. You feel that you are being misjudged. To dream that you suddenly discover your nudity and are trying to cover up [by hiding evidence of it in your pocket], signifies your vulnerability to a situation. To see your naked self in your dream and be shy about it, represents some anxiety about putting yourself out there in the social whirl, IOW you are not sure you want to expose yourself, warts and all, to any potential mate material. To see your own naked body on greeting cards you are handing out at a stand, means you feel as though the years of your youth are leaving you behind, and your biological clock is ticking ever more loudly, and you really want a mate badly, and you feel you have much to offer a lady [referring to your virile young naked self being advertised on the cards] but for some reason there haven't been any takers, and the dream is your subconscious mind's ID'ey way of saying "HUBBAHUBBA!! ! Do Something! Anything! I haven't got all damned day!"
Pocket
To see a pocket in your dream, represents your hidden talents and undeveloped abilities. You are not utilizing your strengths to the fullest potential. Consider the significance of what is inside the pocket. If the pocket is empty, then it symbolizes the womb and your desire to isolate yourself from others. Alternatively, a pocket symbolizes secrets. You protect your most private self by hiding it away in your pocket. Remember the Beatles' lyric, "you've got to hide your love away"?
Field
To see a barren field in your dream, with your lone greeting card stand advertising yourself in all your unappreciated glory, denotes desperation and self-perceived failure in your undertakings. It makes me want to hug you and tell you it'll be ok, you will make out alright, just don't dwell on lack because the universal law states "that which is dwelt upon is amplified." and negative things dwelt upon have augmented powers of self-fulfilling prophecy. so if one dwells on lack, there will be more lack [of good things] in your life, to your consternation.
p.s. please PM me the rest of your dream.

Hmm, there might be a lot to what you say.

Yes, I like that song. See also 'There's a bluebird in my heart'

It's funny I didn't see a pocket, I just assume that's where I put the cards, so even the container for my hidden talents is hidden.

(This is weird... Bukowski and the Beatles on this page I just stumbled onto. http://adamkushblog.blogspot.com/2008/1 ... arles.html)

Aww, I don't feel like a failure, but maybe overlooked or unappreciated. It's my fault for setting out my greeting card stand in a remote field though, huh? Not much passing trade there

 Well, if you insist, it was just some slightly weird sex but there was some obvious symbology in it even I didn't miss.

WE WARN IT
The following may contain a smug dog, a pair of sunglasses, and the caption "Deal With It". It also contains an utter lack of dialogue. Viewer vexation is advised.

I was at an Applebee's with Present!Sonic, Past!Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Present!Amy, Shantae, Past!Sonic and, inexplicably, Lady Gaga (she was in a music video). Past!Sonic was having a bit of a problem with his ears, as the clamoring outside, the football game, and my 3DS were distracting him from Gaga's Born This Way performance. He pulled some headphones out of his hammerspace, and somehow plugged it into the floor. He did not say anything. I realized I had to go to the bathroom, and I nudged Shantae, as if to say "Move?". She obliged, and I dashed off to the men's room...only to find a sign that said YOU ARE GROUNDED FROM YOUR EXISTENCE. THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THE HORROR OF UNREALITY. I shrugged and went on. One second later, words popped up that said VENIVIDIVICIVENIVIDIVICIVENIVIDIVICIVENIVIDIVICIVENIVIDIVICI. One looooooooong fall later, AH WUZ KSSIN' VALENTINO. I FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYED.

Game set.

This was the other night.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the full movie, was being shown on TV. It started off with Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBouef) in a car park. There was a garage right in the middle of the car park, and Sam pushed a button to open the door. He went in, and it was full of old junk (car tires, bikes etc.). Sam then started floating, and some green liquid out of nowhere was being sprayed onto him as he was spinning around.

It stopped, he walked out of the garage and closed it. He then found a police car, open, and decided to steal it. He drove the car round the car park until the police grabbed him, threw him onto the floor, and started hitting him with a sack of grenades. A policemen pulled the pins out of grenades and handed them to Sam. Sam quickly got up, and threw the grenades one by one through the window of a library, which was next to the car park.

There was a huge explosion of course, and the police walked away and didn't care that Sam had partly destroyed a library. The camera zoomed into the library.

10 years ago..., said the caption on the screen.

Mikaela, Sam's love interest in the Transformers movies, was 12 years old, and in the library that Sam blew up 10 years in the future. She was played by Emily Browning (Baby Doll in Sucker Punch), and from there on I can't remember, other than that she was a complete bookworm and solving mysteries with her girl gang. So yeah, that's Transformers 3...

After that, I think, I was myself in the Unseen University (a location from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels), and there was an elephant with a wizard's hat on, holding a spell book, and running up-right like a human. All I remember is that the elephant was in a hurry to get somewhere, and he had a big bum.

The end! I hope you have enjoyed reading yet another one of my completely normal dreams.

the above poster's dream was very cinematic.
my modest dream was about me driving down the highway going home from some appointment whose details evaporated before i awoke. anyways, i took the wrong cloverleaf freeway exit, and somehow ended up sans car, inside of a bowling alley sitting naked on top of the bowling ball return lane sliding forwards to the end, and some clueless bowler reached down to pick up his ball only to discover my naked self sitting there, and the expression on his face read "WTF?!" and he turned away in disgust. then i awoke.

This one is about a stabbing, in some country I know nothing about. In this dream, we were back in time, when they used to have no toilet bowls. Anyway, it was supposedly in Venis, and there was this girl who had a hair due, where her head was shaved from the front to the center of her head. There was this guy in a nice silver coat and pants, with blue embroidery. He had this scroll that had something that seemed to have some important information, and he didn't want anyone to read it. (certainly not his soon to be ex, who is the girl)

He took the scroll and tossed it into the water. He had a few drinks, but she was more drunk and acting a little like it. I guess the scroll had something "important" that would have made a difference if certain people saw it, but nobody does ever read it, and he knew the water would ruin the paper and ink. It was some religious item that he threw away just to spite someone in question. Well, she wanted to see it really bad, and started talking on and on about God, how important God was, and how she was such a servant for the religion.

The guy wanted to start beating her, because he felt very tired of her. They argued, and he ended their relationship and stormed off in a fit instead of hitting her. Then there was this one spot where there was a small fire of some kind, a group of guys and this one robed fellow. She thought he was a priest or something, and walked over to this group. He tells the small group of angry looking guys about some new law, or something like that. He had this one scroll with a list on it, and was about to boldly share it, when she interupted. One of them immediatly disagreed, and told the robed guy that he had no rights to "Rule their lives", or something alot like that.

Then shes talking and smileing about and how he was some kind of worthy priest guy that diserves respect, so everyone suddenly looked at her angry with a big "What the #$%?!" expression on their faces. The robed guy isn't very pleased, but he was really angry to, because she was talking about how loyal followers would go so far as to die for their cause. She goes down along with the robed guy, getting stabbed to death. They get dumped into the water below the brick balcany with stairs... sort of area.. (How do I describe it exactly?) There were stairs up the side, then a square area, then brick walls with a couple of doors in them back on the other side of the area. Later on, there was some wierd party, and some girls were wearing red dresses with gold stuff on them.

Then we're to where this old 1920ish model of a car was, there were people digging where the water was, because it was all dirt now. There was a statue head, and some other stone something I forgot about, that was put there in memory of them. They were graves, for the two. Nobody finds the scroll at all. There was this one room near by where the fire was that had different colored glass, but like a telescope, or fancy window in a church. You know, with different pretty colors.

Super wierd.

A dream 20 years ago or so:

I had this dream experience of walking about outside in some unknown territory, and then walking down in a slope and finding a depression in the terrain. I noticed it went 'down' as in quickly dropping to say, a story in height.

Now as in being in an underground cavern , (and lit up somehow): I Looked 90* to my right, and I quickly noticed a large half moon shaped silver domed vessel standing with two legs. I quickly noticed it appeared to be walking at one time , but now 'frozen' in a stride. (One leg was partially folded at its knee joint while the other leg was straight. ) This thing was very large and I'd say it was 20 ft in overall height. I now had the sense that this thing had been there for untold ages. An eerie sense of danger flooded my mind; a sense that it could still move for some reason, as if it seen any movement. (I was looking at it from its side or profile.)

Well, there was a 'chiggering noise' now that came from my front view, or straight away paralell to this, and I then noticed a stationary orange haired spider with two large fangs standing there looking straight at me. This baby was large as in maybe a 1/3 the size of a man. I sensed it could see me by the fact of this intermittent clicking/ vibration sound that it made. At every "vibration" the fangs would jiggle and the noise came solely from the fangs rubbing; much like a cricket . I then knew it was aroused and was ready to pounce, and I ran out of there to the surface.

The dream then morphed into something completely different.
