It seems unavoidable if crossing paths with anyone. They'll just automatically spout "happy new year" as I pass by. Equally annoying to me is the compulsion most everyone has to say "good morning" every single freaking day, even when it's already past noon.

Thinking to myself about what I've heard about fan fiction a part of me thinks 'Doesn't anyone know how to write a short story?'. A literary scholar, out there, could make a study out of fan-fiction maybe 'comparatively' with 'new media' and cross-analyze with how dissimilar it is with early short story writers like Edgar Allen Poe, William Sydney Porter and Mark Twain for that matter and how 'the smell of 18th century classism' is more prominent even with early forerunners who were among a few and privileged to 'be literate' in contrast to a current 'informational age' where even with more widely advocated education,literacy and an accommodating pop culture, stories output can be quite..'unstructured' to put it one way.

Does he use gang terms like "set" for his friends or neighbourhood? Does he have a gang name or alias like "death snake", "big dan", "hellfire", "lil smurf", "twin", "nacho", "viper", "mad dog", "clown", "loco" or "baby chico"?
