It's sad, but true... You're doing well for you age, so keep it up and look into setting up 401k or IRA. Your savings is set, if you are using that for emergencies as a single household (for yourself). Now concentrate on saving for retirement and be ahead of the game. The stats on people's retirement is sad, because most don't even bother to save and depend on Social Security.

How do I know who's right and whos wrong? My morality says that THEY'RE wrong, but many dear friends dissagree with me and just say my parents taught me wrong, which is making me question the people I'm always supposed to belive are right. It's morally conflicting.
