What's the last weirdest dream you had?
Last night's was in 4 parts and quite disjointed but here goes.
I was near a harbour and noticed crowds of people gathered by the dockside, there were news teams as well as police and members of the public all standing looking into the harbour. As I approached and looked down, there was a police diver manoevering a small sailing yacht hiding the windows because a body had been found inside.
Next I was in an office block behind a desk with a random school friend sitting opposite me. I accidently knocked a paper cup of hot coffee over and it soaked him down his right hand side from neck to ankles. All I remember is saying how sorry I was and I would go to his home immediately and get a change of clothing for him, I was even asking in detail which pair of trousers he wanted brought back.
At this point I was out near the harbour again and from some distance witnessed a huge oil supply vessel docked in the harbour on fire. The flames were spectacular and I walked by as I was making my way to get the clothes.
I passed a building site where I was many hundreds of feet higher up than the deep excavation where I saw two guys and a crane lifting a huge portacabin type building and placing it with great precision onto a lorry which had four high sides to it.
I woke up............. ![]()

The yodeling cow dream... it is a reoccurring one where I am driving down this road and see one cow at first, then two, then they keep multiplying as I go and this noise starts getting louder and eventually I notice their lips are flapping and they are yodeling.

Before waking up, late in this evening (about at 22), I dreamt that I was a young girl (maybe 18-22 years old) who was escaping some man in a stairwell. The feeling I got was that he was some stalker that was obsessing over her to the point of starting to consider murder. The dream started as she was running up some stairs in the stairwell after already having called the police, and she knew they wouldn't arrive in time, and if she'd hide in her apartment further up, he'd break in, so as she finished running up the stairs, reaching a corridor, she saw a woman with the door open to her apartment, standing by the door. She rushed to her and begged for protection, stutteringly explaining that a man was after her that was going to kill her. So the woman let her in, closing and locking the door.
In the woman's very, very small, one-room apartment were two beds and nothing more. Behind the beds was a window. The woman sat down in the left bed and started talking with the girl, who sat down in the other bed that had red bedclothes. The woman became mildly upset as she had just made the bed "for a client". It now was understood that she was a prostitute, and the woman talked a bit about it and then understood that now probably was not the time for her to take her "client" into the apartment, so the girl then asked if she wants her to pay for her stay, since she couldn't take her client, due to her hiding there, so she offered 500 Swedish kronor. The woman laughed a little bit and said that she is a luxury prostitute and would want at least 1000. The girl asked if 900 would be enough, and the woman agreed to it.
Above the woman's apartment, sounds of footsteps could be heard. The girl said that it's her apartment above and that he's inside. They started talking with a lower voice so there'd be less of a risk of him hearing them, but the footsteps then couldn't even be heard. At this moment, someone knocked on the door. It seemed to be the client, and I (as me, the dreamer) could see a view of when the guy was knocking on the door, asking for the prostitute woman. It was a guy in his twenties with an Asian look, like a Chinese-looking man, who was very slim and with his hair cut short, and his eyes were a bit smaller than normal. The woman told him in a loud voice, from the bed, that she was busy and couldn't take him now. He just said "oo-kaay" and left. The woman and the girl then decided to just go to bed, so the woman turned the lights off. The escaping girl managed to fall asleep, despite her nervousness. Suddenly, she was woken up by a sound, as if someone had opened the door to the apartment. She feared the worst and brought the cover further over her head and tried to convince herself that there was no one there - that there just couldn't be - but she couldn't look as it was completely dark in the room. She tried to continue sleeping and closed her eyes. A few seconds later, she reopened them, and looked towards the faint blue night light coming through the window. Towards it, she saw the dark figure of a man, standing right beside her bed, as if looking right at her. This terrified her and she tried to scream, but she couldn't. The scream barely came out at all.
That's when I woke up, at the point of trying to scream. My heart hurt, when I woke up, from the terror of it.
At points throughout this brief dream, I became myself, at times, when in that apartment, but overall, by far, I was that girl. The dream was about that girl - not about me.
If someone wants to try interpreting it, feel free to try to attempt it.

i dreamt that i was talking to a very handsome man about my self-portrait photographs on Wrong Planet, and he said to me that he liked my new pictures, but he thought that maybe my old pix were snapshots of my mother. ![]()

I had a dream that it was fall and my niece was looking at leaves. The snow started falling from the sky. my niece said that she had to go to the bathroom. We took her inside into the bathroom. She was fully toilet trained in that dream.
She's almost 2 now and she's just started using the potty, though she's still in diapers 90% of the time. She's starting to get the hang of poop. She's gaining control where I've lost control, 5 years ago. I'm happy for her, now. I was a little scared when I heard that my sister has started putting her on the potty a month ago, because I felt that I wouldn't be a good example for my niece to follow.

here are some generic dream symbol capsules, i will leave the interpretation of these [the search for signifigant items, the search for a logical or plausible story flow] to you-
Man
To see a man in your dream, denotes the aspect of yourself that is assertive, rational, aggressive, and/or competitive. Perhaps you need to incorporate these aspects into your own character. To see an Asian man in your dream, represents a masculine aspect of your own self that is beneath your waking awareness.
Thin
To dream that something or someone is thin, represents a figure symbolic of the self that is lacking strength and integrity. You feel that you are unable to hold your own or stand up for yourself. Alternatively, the dream indicates flexibility and agility. You are able to adapt to any situation.
Eyes
To notice the asian client's eyes in your dream, represents enlightenment, knowledge, comprehension, understanding, and intellectual awareness of the person symbolized in the dream. Unconscious thoughts may be coming onto the surface.
Hair
To see hair in your dream, signifies sexual virility, seduction, sensuality, vanity, and health. It is indicative of your attitudes. To dream that a symbolic someone has a short haircut, suggests that you are experiencing a decreased sense of power. You feel you are being criticized unfairly. Alternatively, your dream haircut symbolizes a fresh start. You are shedding off some unwanted aspect of yourself. To dream that you or another dream object has short hair, indicates that you are pressed into making a decision on something important. You are concentrating on some plan or situation, under some duress or time pressure, or are being rash/rude/cruel about something or some key person in your waking life in a way that you may not be fully aware of.
Chase
To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.
Stalking
To dream that you are being stalked, indicates some difficulty or issue which you are not confronting. These problems are not going to go away just because you are ignoring them. This dream could also be referent to your shadow and the negative part of your Self or as a symbol of a bad habit which you have unsuccessfully tried to break.
Scared
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing feelings of self-doubt, incompetence, and lack of control in your waking life. Perhaps you are having second thoughts about a decision you have made. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life, or issues/feelings that you are trying to suppress while awake.
Staircase
To see a staircase in your dream, symbolizes change and transformation. To dream that you are walking up a flight of stairs, is analogous to material and thoughts that are coming to the surface.
Murder
To dream about murder, indicates that you are thinking about putting an end to an old habit and a former way of thinking. This could also refer to an end to an addiction. Alternatively, the dream indicates that you have some repressed aggression or rage at yourself or at someone. Note also that dreams of murder occur frequently during periods of depression. To dream that you witness a murder, indicates deep-seated anger towards somebody. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate. To dream that you are murdered, suggests that some important and significant relationship has been severed. You are trying to disconnect yourself from your emotions.
Bed
To see a bed in your dream, represents your intimate self and discovery of your sexuality. If you are in a different and/or unknown bed, then it represents the consequences of the decisions you have made. The dream may also be a pun on the completion of a project and "putting it to bed." Consider the condition of the bed. If the bed is made, then it symbolizes security. If the bed is unmade, then it indicates that certain secrets will soon be exposed or revealed.
Twin Beds
To see twin beds in your dream, represent childhood and innocence. Alternatively, it may refer to diverging and conflicting views of sexuality. You may have difficulties expressing your needs and desires.
Red
Red is an indication of raw energy, force, vigor, intense passion, aggression, power, courage, impulsiveness and passion. The color red has deep emotional and spiritual connotations. Consider the phrase "seeing red" to denote anger. Alternatively, the color red in your dream indicates a lack of energy. You are feeling tired or lethargic. Red is also the color of danger, violence, blood, shame, rejection, sexual impulses and urges.Perhaps you need to stop and think about your actions.
Red Bedclothes
To see bedclothes in your dream, suggests that you need to relax and get some rest. For the bedclothing to be red, suggests that something in your waking life is stressing you and sapping your energy, that you are not able to fully recharge your batteries at night due to this continuing drain on your energies during waking hours- it could mean there is a psychic vampire [person or situation which drains your energy] in your life somewhere.
Sleepover
Todream that you are at a sleepover, indicates that there is a situation that you are refusing to see or accept. You need to be more alert and pay attention to what is going around you. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you need to let your guard down and learn to be more open and receptive.
Woman
To see a woman in your dream, represents nurturance, passivity, caring nature, and love. It refers to your own female aspects or your mother. Alternatively, a woman indicates temptation and guilt.
Prostitute
To see or dream that you are with a prostitute, suggests that you are feeling sexually deprived or needy. Alternatively, the dream is commenting on how you wished that sexual relationships were more simple and straightforward. The dream prostitute wanting the bed to remain straight, is symbolic of compartmentalization of private parts of one's life, i.e., wanting to have a proper public face and a private life somewhat less proper.
Apartment
To dream about an apartment, symbolizes a financial or situational state. The prostitute stressing to your dream self that she was a "luxury" prostitute while residing in a bare apartment with twin beds, indicates that somebody in the dreamer's life aspires and plans to elevate themselves in society/socioeconomic status, via their personal charms.
Door
To dream of a door that opens to the outside, signifies your need to be more accessible to others, whereas a door that opens into the inside, denotes your desire for inner exploration and self-discovery. To dream that the door is closed or locked, signifies opportunities that are denied and not available to you or that you have missed out on. Something or someone is blocking your progress. If you are inside the locked door, then it represents harsh lessons that need to be learned. To dream that you are locking the door, suggests that you are closing yourself off from others. You are hesitant in letting others in and revealing your feelings. It is indicative of some fear and low self-worth.
Knocking
To hear knocking in your dreams, suggests that your unconscious is trying to attract your attention to some aspect of yourself or to some waking situation. A new opportunity may be presented to you. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun that you are "knocking" on or insulting something or someone. Or perhaps there is a habit or behavior that you need to stop or "knock it off".
Screaming
To dream that your screams are stifled indicates that you have trouble expressing your emotions in waking life, that something is holding you back from letting people know how you feel or is making you feel helpless in some situation or in living life in general. Alternatively, it could just represent the body's natural dream REM paralysis to prevent sleepwalking or sleep-screaming.
Am I invading your dreams now?

That was pretty interesting to read, even if it doesn't make sense, yet. I'll be sure to reread it later. You seem very into in these things - interpretations, I mean - or did you maybe use the help of some website for it...?
What if you dream that you are someone else, though, like I did in this dream?
This morning I was reminded of a dream I had when I looked at the cat sitting in the floor. It must have been about cats, but I don't remember it right now.
It does seem that every dream I do remember is because it wasn't over. If I did not wake up during the dream the chances of me remembering it are around 5%.
I somewhat disagree with the whole thought of dreams being of some importance. Usually my dreams are just repeats of some event that took place the day before (but usually end differently). I think dreams are just caused by the defragmentation and backup of the data on the brains hard disk. Obviously for this to happen bits of data are stored in the RAM, and when were sleeping since our conscious mind doesn't work we just take the data on the RAM and play with it. I don't think dreams should be taken any more seriously than just something your mind does to pass the time.

i always use the generic symbols on www.dreammoods.com. i then contextually modify them after analyzing the story flow and meanings [both superficial and "between the lines"], rearrange them to better suit the type of dream and then humbly hope for the best outcome for the dreamer to better understand his or her dream. i understand that this could all go over like a lead balloon and that the person whose dream i freely interpreted could just see me as being all wet- but as long as i am also seen as well-intentioned, i can live with that.
generally, dream protagonists/antagonists [major or leading characters] represent reflections or key aspects of the dreaming individual- you could be yourself or manifold other characters referring to yourself. your dream [unless your dinner didn't agree with you] is a royal roadtrip into your unconscious, with parts of what makes you uniquely you projected into illustrative characters in meaningful scenarios- educational entertainment plays put on in your sleeping stage, with your dreaming mind paying rapt attention, all free

i would like to dream i was a woman, sometime. i wonder what it would be like to dream of oneself as the opposite gender?
i dream i am all kinds of imaginary people, like a post-apocalypse survivor or a soldier during the war. not so much since i stopped taking SSRIs though. my dreams are less interesting now
i actually dream that all of the ummmm "equipment" is present. but since my brain is concocting that part i think it isn't accurate.

About 8 years ago, I had a dream that I was in my bedroom, looking for my cat, there was a running shoe in my bedroom. My mom came in and I asked where the cat was. My mom said "That's Sootie" pointing at the shoe. (Sootie was the cat). I said "really?" and my mom said "Sootie's a shoe now, and that's just the way it's going to be!". I was really sad in the dream.
Then I had another where my friend met one of my favourite radio hosts and told me about meeting him and said that he was a bee.
