Construction is happening next door. I think it is way too hot for them to be working.

i think there oughta be a law to mandate cooling stations at least, for the poor construction workers in the heat.

it is awful
my brother mustafa told me it is really unfair too (unethical bosses) in construction
my XH used to work as a construction worker (his dad did not pay for his education so he had to even though the dad was wealthy and mom spent thousands on frivolities)
what i have surmised is

1. your life is at risk by nature of the job (ongoing or over time, chronic conditions can develop)
2. unfair bosses or pay
3. co-workers make dirty jokes (according to XH) so you always feel uncomfortable.
4. heat
5. reckless or distracted drivers might crash into you if you are working on or by the road

Ooh, sorry, you failed that dexterity save.

(D&D humor - quite apt coming from d&d  )

What a surprise you like D&D, dragonsanddemons.

I wanted to get involved in D&D, but never had any real friends, when I was a kid. :?

I play over Skype with my family, my brother’s girlfriend, and her family. I’m gradually becoming a less boring player

I have the single-game version. I played it for years. I looked at the online version, but I am sick of paying the access fees.
Is the online version any good, and how expensive is it?

I’m not sure, really only the DM uses the guides and stuff - we have two games going, one is on pause for now and my brother is DM for the other (I could never DM, I’m not smart or quick-thinking enough), I’ll have to ask my brother what he thinks about it.

In which I wonder why I don't itch by wearing new clothes after bath.

And why I'm not sneezing a lot today.

And why I don't sense that moment of vulnerability today.

And why am I not going blind or so-so after getting up all the sudden.

Despite that time of the month is coming.
Was it the coffee?????

when interviewed by a black radio station, biden made the comment "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't Black" - which made jaws drop, like OMG what a senior moment he's having!

it's sad that America is going through this situation... it would be nice to have leaders who aren't going through dementia.. also i dont know why Bernie Sanders stepped down but maybe he was having health issues..
can't there be a younger person who is also leader material,

come forward for all parties, just having seen trump now, on twitter always posting
unnecessary / unhelpful things like 'your favorite president, me!' in his rambles.
that's not a properly sane influence.. you can have all kinds of political stances but why not have a more adept, stable
leader for them?

i was reading in one of joan collins' books ( i have read several of them already--the non-fiction ones) how she has always encountered mostly exceptionally smart, polite and kind americans,
and it goes against the stereotype.

it might just be 'the circles' she moves in..
but my point is..
she was pointing out good qualities and comparing it to UK culture degenerating , with lots of examples--
like 'we should learn from them'
but now everyone has free rein to laugh at the state of their leaders\

she did use the word churlish for obama taking down winston churchill's statue, which was funny. it's weird how her views are very contradictory..
like she has done the same things she is against now..
or doesn't give benefit of the doubt to people -- but then rants about that happening to her too
