Time for a round of "find the Aspie!"

What I remember from the giraffes we got to feed at a zoo (don't remember which one): watching their prehensile and surprisingly rough tongues.

What the rest of my family remembers from the same experience: seeing one giraffe pee and another one drink it (apparently males do that to check females' hormone levels and fertility).

Well, I can confirm now that I still do not like the taste, texture, or smell of shrimp. The only way I like them is still alive and well.

When I was in high school we had some fish tanks as part of the Geosciences program my school had. In one of the tanks were cleaner shrimp, candy-cane-striped shrimp that if you stick your hand in the tank, will quickly come over to pick dead skin and other debris from your hand. I really liked them and was happy whenever I was assigned to clean the tank they were in. (The only problem was if you got a small paper cut or something and didn't notice, if sticking your hand into salt water didn't immediately alert you to its presence, the cleaner shrimp would when they came over to pick at it - ouch!)

Also in that tank was a small shell in which a little sea fan had taken up residence (completely serendipitously, it must have hitched a ride in the sand/shell before it was put into the tank). I was the first one to spot it and point it out to the teacher, so it felt sort of like it was "my" sea fan.

Yay for semi-related tangents!

Today I witnessed my cat throw up on my other cat. While horrifying at the time, I've been laughing about it all day  .

I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

LOL .. it wasn't intentional, surely? You never know with cats though.

Haha I don't think so... but it's hard to say. Just as he was getting sick his little brother walked up to see what he was doing, rubbed against him, & that's when it happened.

I told this to my mom and she said the only thing that would've made that funnier would be if you also had a dog who came over to "clean up"

Went to the grocery store... In earplugs.

:o It was fine. Only issue was not speaking loud enough because I heard that I'm too loud myself.

Still the same annoyance with my nose though. :x
