^^ Ooh, that's good.

If you don't resize a picture when embedding it in a post then the WP software will do it for you - sometimes with unfortunate results. :?
If possible, embed resized versions instead. I resize all mine so the longest edge is 640 pixels, which seems a reasonable trade-off between manageable size for anyone's monitor and general quality.

I love Japanese Maple trees! I have 4 of them in my yard, and the tallest one is about 40ft. tall. They are gorgeous in the fall when they turn that bright red.

Bumble-Very nice! Macro+nature=spectacular.

40' 8O
Damn, that must look like a firework display!
As it happened, I got to that one just in time because the local knuckle-draggers hacked it down a couple of months later.
Just a broken, leafless stump was left.

Ok, one more in the red theme.
This is one of my cacti strutting its stuff - a Lobivia.
(I should have caught it a year later than this - there was more red than green: it went berserk with flowers!)

Cornflake- Most people can't believe they can get that tall! It sure does look like a fireworks display. I'll have to get some good photos this autumn.

Oodain- That has to be one of the most interesting coastal features I have seen. Is that sand transitioning onto an earthen hill? It has such a distinct transitional texture. I want to reach into the screen and feel it!

I just realized 99% of my photos were captured during the Spring and Winter. They are so devoid of color, but they manage to capture that feeling those who live in northern climates feel that particular time of the year.

Winter & Spring pictures are good: there's an interesting difference in the quality of light in those seasons that makes up for any lack of colour.

ASMJT, the black is actually the very fine and very round gravel found on the natural beach, most of the sand you see is actually pured on several times a year to combat erosion.
we have huge troubles with some features that were once easily accesible are now in 2 meters of water(8 year span), i am thinkin of bunkers in this instance.
i think i heard up to 5 meters of erosion in the places where its worst, in a country as small as denmark and with so much coast it is very hard to keep up.
