seems pointless being on a forum if one doesn't want any social experience..

AS does not mean not wanting any kind of socialising.. usually the opposite is true, in fact. though they are often loath to admit it, it seems.

Well that's not always true from my real life experience with being with other people with AS, though yes, I am aware a lot do want to socialise, myself included - to a degree.

well, nothing is always true.. but they're here aren't they? & the aspies you met, they chose to come along to meetings right?

people with AS can certainly be less interested in any social activity than the general public, but one would have to look very far to find one with no interest whatsoever. ;)
