I'd post a pic of apple jelly cake with whipped cream and strawberries on the top, but it got eaten so quickly. :(

These forums sure are broken. I tried to edit my last post yesterday, but it wouldn't let me. It still won't let me edit it, today.

I was trying to add this:

I should mention that I was too hungry to take time to photograph this properly, so the angle of the photo and colouring is bad -- it looked much better in person!

Usually I take 10 or 15 photos from different angles and figure out what's the most appetising viewpoint, and make sure there's plenty of backlighting, or go outside with the food, etc.

I only took two photos this time before stuffing my face!

Simple, easy, and one of my favorites!

Soy-based ice cream with some frozen raspberries from the garden.

(Photo note: took a dozen photos before I was satisfied, then tweaked the colours of the photo a bit in Gimp afterward.)

Eggs cooked the way I figured out on my own as a child that I think is nearly perfect.

(Photo note: took some nice photos and then told my girlfriend she could eat it... then realised that there was no memory card in the camera! Boo. The camera lets you preview a single photo you take, it tricked me!)

@ASMJT: Your photo reminded me of one of my childhood favourites, so I was inspired to try it again after perhaps fifteen years... but I'm vegan, so my girlfriend was the guinea pig to try it out.

I was inspired by the fava bean dip photo to try making a bean dip tonight. I made one to have with Que Pasa stone ground corn tortilla chips.

Made with a can of kidney beans, fried in olive oil for about 12 minutes on medium heat with a lid on, then added chopped garlic, granulated garlic, and black pepper. Then stirred until the beans fell apart and got a bit mushy.

Garnished with sage, oregano, and parsley from the garden.

(Photo notes: after a month with my camera, I have now finally figured out how to use the manual focus! Now I can very specifically choose what will be focused on in the shot, it's great. I wish I had known how to use this on my trip, for taking shots of small animals in the grass, without the camera auto-focusing on the strands of grass.)

(I also got bored with only having the food as the only item in the shot, and tried leaving the cut garlic skin and knife in the shot, as well as strawberries which I plan to use in a vegan frozen desert tomorrow.)

Raven_Morris your food is making me so hungry do you ever have kitchen disasters ? :D
I have realised your delightful looking recipes could quite easily have been served in Cranks in London which I used to go to before they shut down.
I've found this page of recipes which you may feel like trying some day.

Didn't have this tonight but I had something similar (fish and chips from the local chippy instead of sausage and chips from a Derbyshire chippy):

What the hell is that? It must be called the heart attack meal.

Salad consisting of fresh picked chard and lettuce, farmer's market cherry tomatoes, store bought avacado, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing made with fresh raspberries from the garden, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and spices.

All this healthy food is making me feel guilty.. 8O

This wasn't the best breakfast I've ever had - very far from it in fact.

Well, a salad like that only takes a few minutes! Fast food that's both tasty and healthy.

And now I want another salad with avocado, but don't have any avocados!

I made some freshly squeezed orange juice today, for the first time in many years. There were several oranges that hadn't been eaten yet, and they would have gone bad otherwise.

The juice turned out fabulously, way better than store-bought!

I used an orange squeezer sort of like this one, it is really fast and easy to use (not my photo):

(Photo note: I increased the colour saturation a bit afterward, to make the orange juice look closer to how it was in real life.)

My biggest breakfast is the patted fava bean recipe (check the previous page).

So no thanks, meat is for lunch.

This is a dessert: Wheat cereals + sugar+ walnuts.

It's locally called Snayniyeh (means "Thoothling" or something like that....) , it's traditionally made when a baby grows his/her first tooth in the family (no, not in my case, I just like it).

Cheap ramen noodles. Not the healthiest choice, but it's satisfying.
