Thinking about Sid. :O) I almost didn't make it to the washroom and I laughed about it.

I initially posted this in the classical music thread but it didn't really belong there so I thought I would move it

Counter-tenor Philippe Jaroussky sings Bésame mucho with Lixsania Fernandez Marrero.

I went to school with a young woman studying operatic singing and the level of volume that a trained singer can produce is simply staggering.

The bus driver made me laugh today

He reminded me of me, the way he dealt with a person who tried to get on his bus for free by lying about his pass being in the post

"On your rocket mate, you're not taking the piss out of me"

The same guy had tried the same trick a few days before apparently and is well known for it

It was the talk of the bus for about 2 minutes

Me realizing that all these years Plankton from SpongeBob Squarepants has basically been selling cannibal sandwiches and despite not having customers has never actually been shut down by Bikini Bottom’s health department or been arrested for running a literal cannibal restaurant.

I'm watching Rifftrax Live: Samurai Cop on the Pluto Rifftrax Channel

After reading cecilfienkelstien's post, I decided mine was maybe too graphic.

It wasn't the riffing that made me laugh. The sound was muted.

A guy gets his arm cut off at the shoulder. The actual slicing and dice is not shown. A straight, stiff arm falls on the ground. Then blood starts squirting from the point of detachment. It looked fake and very funny, and it just dawned on me (we've established I'm slow), this arm would require a heart to continue pumping the blood for those little squirts. Am I wrong?

Then it showed the guy, writhing around with his stump that was a shoulder. Bonus laughter.

Now pretend this is tell a random truth. It is precisely because of stuff like this that my mom and step dad (a wonderful man) thought something was wrong with my younger brother and I. We share a similar sense of humor, although he finds nothing, NOTHING, I say funny. He is more likely to laugh at my stupidity (his words) than at what I said. Yeah. He laughs at me, not with me. But we were on the same page about severed limbs. Monty Python had us howling. His brain operates at human speed, not sloth speed. He's the smart one in the family.

LOL! A woman just got her throat slashed. No, that in itself is not at all funny. But the color of the blood was dayglow red.

Oh I am with you, pcgoblin!

I am morbidly wimpy when it comes to the real suffering of people or animals but I find performative limb removal and arterial mishaps and the like absolutely hilarious.

I watched The Untamed recently (very romantic  ) and there were some Monty Python-esque arm detachments and I loved them.

I also found the Hannibal series quite sweet, though, so possibly there really is something wrong with me
