I've been wondering for a while: did the Bushido (Way of the Warrior) ever said anything about prohibiting being married or in a romantic relationship with one another?

Just thought I'd ask because about 10 years ago, while taking a martial arts class in college, that this (mis)conception seems that they do.

Samurai married and had kids who inherited their status. They also molested their male apprentices. Where did your classmates get this notion of them being celibate?
