Nutella!

am doing nothing today.

I gave back to the community by doing yard work.

I did the Farm Art DTour today.

I was at the local Fall Festival today, and a little girl came up to me, pointed to the plush Fluttershy keychain I have on my bag, and said, "My sister wanted me to ask you where you got that My Little Pony keychain - she likes Fluttershy." I told her where they might have the keychains, and said that Fluttershy was my favorite one, too. She said, "My favorite one is Applejack - I like the way she talks." It was just cute.

I also got to hold somebody's little 6-week-old baby girl today, too. She was so sweet.

I am having pizza today.

No adrenalin surges!

Plus, I washed and vacuumed my car.

Four days of 90F temperatures and humidity, several foot blisters and hand scrapes, and plenty of heavy lifting later I am finally moved and have internet.

I successfully repaired my old clunky model NES. It'd been broken for almost as long as I can remember. It doesn't work perfectly every time like my top-loader(Some games work every time, others take patience and reinsertion), but I'm not sure the old model ever worked every time since I've never actually seen one do so.

All I can think to do is maybe replace the pin connector, as tearing it apart and going in and re-centering the pins around was already a long bout of eye straining trial and error the first time, but I'm not sure I feel the need... I was mostly just interested to see if I could perform the repair. Though the old NES has places for AV connection unlike the top-loader, I'm not particularly bothered by the image quality when using the RF adapter.

Anyway, it was a good first attempt and transformation... being a large paperweight with a perpetually flashing red LED just six hours ago to now actually being able to run most games without a fuss. Maybe I'll try again some other time, at least I already cleaned everything out so it'd not take nearly as long at a second go.

I can relax all day.

Got off work five hours early.

Relatively warm, wet weather.

Another $5 scratch ticket, another $50 won.

I did my tax return yesterday (it's just after midnight here) and the amount I'm getting back is about $900 more than I thought I would.
