What's the last weirdest dream you had?
i had a dream last night that i was watching some sort of documentary that was about extreme (psychotic) miserliness.
one of the stories was about a man in alaska who was picking up a coworker from the side of the road (prearranged) at about 5am in order to give him a lift to work.
the temperature outside was -20F, and the waiting coworker had no warm garments on. he was dressed in a tee shirt and tracksuit pants, and he was almost insensible with frigidity as got into the misers car which was toasty warm.
the coworker expressed extreme relief at the warmth of the car's interior, and the miser started to note a drop in temperature inside the car due to the addition of a very cold package (the coworker) to the interior, and the conversation went thus:
coworker: god jee-ee-ee-zus i am frozen to the bone!! !! this feels like paradise in here.
miser: hmmm.....i can feel a definite drain of temperature due to your cold body sucking the heat out of the cabin, and i fear that it will add to the fuel consumption to warm you up.
the miser pulled over to the side of the road.
miser: so here is a jumper (sweater). put it on and get out of the car, and when you are warmed up, throw the jumper into the boot(trunk), and get back in.
the coworker got out of the car and shivered in the blizzard-like environment, and the jumper was insufficient to warm him up to a degree that he felt "comfortable", so the miser placed his car in "park" for a few hours with his car idling (or else the heater would no longer work) while he waited for the coworker to warm up sufficiently to get back in the car after divesting his cold jumper into the boot so that he would not be a heat sink in the warm and comfy cabin of the car.
i can not say why, but the mental image of the impatient miser waiting for hours burning much more fuel than he would have used if he just had driven them both to work (which was 5 minutes away) with the cold passenger was hilarious to me.
the car sounded like a general motors 350V8, and it had a burble that tickled my "funny nerve". with every revolution of the engine as he waited, i became more and more attuned to the seriously funny side of the matter.
i had a dream last night that my girl friend "tammy" went into a state where all she could do was shake her head (as in the "no" movement) in response to anything i said.
the dialogue went along these lines;
me: so what do you want to have for dinner?
tammy: (shakes her head)
me: are you not hungry?
tammy: (shakes her head)
me: so you are hungry then?
tammy: (shakes her head)
me: so you are not hungry then?
tammy: (shakes her head)
me: are you processing what i am saying?
tammy: (shakes her head)
me: (starting to rapidly develop an acceleration of worry) are you ok?
tammy: (shakes her head)
it was a scary dream because i suddenly felt like i lost her forever because i started to believe she had had some kind of catastrophic stroke because her pupils seemed unequally dilated when i completely scanned her.

maybe it would give you both peace of mind, if both of you had a head-to-toe physical exam at your respective doctors' offices. just a thought. sometimes our dreams warn us of dangerous conditions that fall beneath our conscious radar.
Well I dreamt of a son I don't have. When I was with my ex I had dreams with this same looking kid although he was at different ages. The weird thing is that this kid looks like my now boyfriend when he was a kid/baby except my "son" has darker hair like mine I used to have dreams of his little sister too and she had dark wavy blonde hair with blue eyes but when she was shown at older ages, her hair was dark dark brown and her eyes were still blue. My boyfriend was born with blonde hair but it turned a very dark golden brown/blonde and he has hazel eyes now. Makes me wonder what my real kids will look like, and with who. ![]()
Not that it's necessarily so, but you're comment reminded me of Freud's famous mouth dream.

"physician, first heal thyself" - truer words never spoken. i don't personally recall any warning or caution dreams, but i missed one big fat I Ching hint once that cost me bigtime.

tammy has no worries about the stability of my health, and i generally have no worry about hers.
there have been times in the past when she has become almost hospitalizable (the site's "auto spell checker" reckons that "hospitalizable" is wrong) due to behavioral dilemma's, and i have worried about her possible prognosis, however i have never worried explicitly about physical emergencies in her brain.
if you are inferring that there maybe traces of consciously seen and processed, but overlooked as "compartment worthy" elements to the reality that surrounds us, and that those uncompartmentalized observations express themselves during R.E.M sleep because there are no constraints of compartments in the fluid state of dreams, then i will accept that that is probably true.
but....i see no logical reason in real life to suspect tammy has any circulatory problems in her head.
anyway

i had a dream last night that i thought was hilarious, but i told it to quite a few (3) blank and unresponsive faces (as i saw in my peripheral vision), and they did not see how it was funny.
i have a peculiar sense of humor.
i dreamed that i was watching a documentary (not on TV but somehow in my mind), that was titled "the world as it might have been". (it was a documentary that examined how the world would be different if a tiny element of it was removed from existence before it started to form).
anyway, the "mental show" i was watching was a world where humans were inextricably bound by rules, and they could not think or operate with any spontaneity.
the rules that were agreed upon in the formation of the "workplaces" was that all workers work 8 hours per day from 9am to 5pm. no exceptions.
then there was a scene of a hospital that was completely dark, and there were no lights on in it at all, and the commentary was "it is 8:30pm. all the staff went home 3 and a half hours ago. they switched off the lights and they switched off the air conditioning and they all left the building by 5 pm". (the patients of course were all still there)
then there was another scene of a patient in the middle of a surgical procedure in theater, with all the lights out, and no doctors there, and there were clamps everywhere in the patients abdomen, and the narrative went "????'s operation was a bit more complicated than was first thought, so the operation was not finished by 5 o'clock. the surgeons had no choice but to clamp off the patient's arteries and administer a 16 hour dose of anesthetic so they could resume the operation at 9am sharp the next morning (after administering another dose of anesthetic)"
another scene was where a doctor was breaking bad news to the family of an old woman (that she had died).
doctor: as you can imagine, it was extremely unfortunate that her medical emergency happened outside of business hours.
i woke up after the the old woman sequence, and i was too tired to laugh, but i committed those scenes from my dream to memory by reciting them (because they were fresh) and i went back to sleep immediately, and when i awoke this morning, i thought of those scenes and i almost suffocated with laughter (it escalated into a coughing fit) because those scenes were so funny to me.
i guess it had to be seen from my perspective.
sorry i have remembered two other scenes from my dream and i will forget them soon if i do not write them somewhere, and here is as good as any place. i will keep it brief.
one scene is where an ambulance is speeding toward a critically injured patient with lights and sirens blaring, and then 5pm arrives, and off go the sirens and the lights, and the ambulance makes a u-turn and lazily returns to base.
the other scene is in the fire department where a conflagration devastating a city block is nearly extinguished, and at the pip of 5pm, the fire hoses are turned off and they all get back in the truck and go home, and the city block is destroyed "out of office hours"
whatever goodnight i think.

I forgot to post this a few days ago. I dreamed I was on some kind of space-ship with my family & I was arguing why I should be caption. I've seen every ep of Star Trek, Star Wars, I'm better with computers & other technology, & I'm better with video-games(some of the space-ship controls were buttons & joy-sticks)

last night I saw myself designing a city in my dream. Weird thing was that I was designing it by building a small scale model out of balsa wood..and I was seeing the items in a sort of 3-D view inside my mind (you know like those spatial tests? the ones they show you an odd shape and tell you to 'make it turn around' in your mind?) and I could see how everything fit together.
Not just a building but the entire city itself. When I woke up I scribbled the design on a notebook and it makes a hell of a lot of sense.
Looking online it resembles the Venus Project city design but.. mine is much better and much more functional (and aesthetic id say) than theirs.
