Skyscraper
To see a skyscraper in your dream, represents your high ideals, creativity, accomplishments and imagination. You always aim high at whatever you do. The skyscraper is seen as a metaphor for the foresights and achievements of man. Alternatively, the dream represents the phallus.
Glass
To see glass in your dream, symbolizes passivity or protection. You may be putting up an invisible barrier to protect yourself in a situation or relationship. To see a glass building in your dream, suggests that you need to be tolerant yet discerning of what people are telling you. They may be telling you what they think you need to hear [and not necessarily what you want to hear], or they may be poo-pooing you and your dreams.
Bird
To see birds in your dream, symbolizes your goals, aspirations and hopes. To dream of flying birds, represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life. You are experiencing spiritual freedom and psychological liberation. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. To see giant or odd birds in your dream, indicates that you have a unique [and unrealistically bouyant] outlook and perspective on romance and love. The dream may also represent a lack of understanding in affairs of the heart.
Alternatively, the dream means that you are trying to escape from a difficult situation. To see the wings of birds in your dream, indicates your desire for a freer way of life.
Blinking
To dream that you [whatever thing or being you are in the dream] are blinking, indicates that there is something you fear in seeing. You are refusing to see the obvious.
Sun
To see the sun in your dream, symbolizes peace of mind, enlightenment, tranquility, fortune, goodwill, and insight. It also represents radiant energy and divine power. Generally, the sun is a good omen, especially if the sun is shining in your dream. To dream of sunshine, indicates that you are experiencing some sort of emotional or situational breakthrough. The dream is offering you reassurance that you are headed on the right track.
Sky
To look up at the clear blue sky in your dream, denotes hope, possibilities, creativity, peace and freedom of expression. As the saying goes "the sky's the limit." If the sky is cloudy and overcast, then it foretells of sadness and trouble.
Horizon
To see the horizon in your dream, symbolizes a new beginning or a somber conclusion. The horizon represents your goals and future plans. You are in a continual state of growth, rebirth, and regeneration.
To see a skyscraper [your high ideals or highest vision of one's aspiring self] morph into a giant bird [hope] with glass wings [uncertain or tenuous dreams and hopes dampened by temporal reality] which takes off into the sunny sky [hopes about the parts of oneself as well as one's future hopes] and flies away gravely towards the horizon [either a new beginning or a somber conclusion, means you are ready to leave all the things and desires of young adulthood behind, to come to terms with the rest of your life, to face what happens with stoicism.
i saw a story on TV about the huge waves in hawaii where jet ski's tow the surfers out to where the next breaker will be prime to "catch" as it rolls up, and sometimes the waves are 60ft (18m) or more and they look gigantic and i wish i could somehow watch them in real life from a close distance.
i have seen documentaries about dubai and surrounding areas, and the fantastic endeavors they embark upon to provide sensationally attractive elements to their region like the palm islands and the "burj dubai" (or whatever it is called now) building.
so the dream i had last night was an exciting blend of those 2 situations with an element of random "dreamstate licence" as well.
i dreamed that it would be brilliant to somehow build a structure with an observation deck at the top that was rooted in the seafloor at the point where most of the breakers crests are at their highest points before they topple over. i approached a wealthy sheik, and suggested the idea (in some bar in hong kong (a bar that exists in a game that i am playing)) to him and we immediately started looking for regions around dubai where huge waves are regular (from some sort of mental helicopter)., and we found an area where the waves were about 100 ft (30m), and suddenly the structure was built and i was standing on the cheap wooden deck (i felt betrayed by the lack of financial investment into quality of the build), and i was the only person on the deck and it was a cold day, and the waves were terrifying, because the sea level was 10 storeys down, and the waves crests licked the bottom of the wooden deck i was standing on.
i felt extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave, however i discovered my only means of escape was a ladder that went down to a walkway that was completely submerged in the waves that rolled in every 30 seconds, and it was about 1 mile back to shore, so it was not possible to leave the platform i was on. then as i finally decided to wait until the weather calmed down, i looked seaward, and i saw a 120 ft wave heading my way and i knew it was over for me.
when the wave slapped me off the platform, i was in a state of "short circuit", but it quickly became apparent to me that the wave was going to deliver me gently to the shore, and i rode upon it, and i was set down on the beach gently, and i fizzled out of existence in that dreamworld very relieved.

That's beuatiful man, thank you.

This a REALLY weird dream:
I went to the movies with a casual friend and the movie was about a boy who went on a ferry with his dad and for some reason, wanted to go to the north pole to find Santa. He went there and jumped in the water with a big group of people, then he went back to his home and jumped in the water again. After the movie, we went back to my casual friend's house, I wanted to use her computer, but it was slow. Then we went to the mall and went into a children's store, that I thought was the bookstore and it turned out it was. Then my friend said that her boyfriend would be picking us up and going out for dinner with us. He never came, so we had to walk to the restaurant, my parents were at the restaurant and my friend's boyfriend never showed up. There was a chair for him though.
OK, no one has written anything about me, but I will write this anyway.
Latest weird dream:
I was on a ferry with my "step grandma's" family and my family, and it was very wobbly, however, it looked like a transit train from the outside and was going along a transit track, it was going to go to Pluto. There was another train right in front of it, and our ferry/train could easily hit it. I needed to use the washroom, but was scared to get up because I wanted to be prepared if the train/ferry was going to hit the train in front of us. I finally got up and got some orange pop, during a stop. I didn't drink the whole can though. The train got to Pluto. Space had a floor, which looked like the arctic over there. Me and my mom put our hands through one of it's moons. When we go back to Earth, there was a fire at my Grandparent's place, that didn't look like my Grandparent's place though. There was a fire at my Grandparent's house, and we all got out and went in the pool. (my Grandparent's don't own a pool in real life, but in the dream, they did). Their neighbour's decided to set there house on fire. My Grandad (that my step-grandma called "my dad") was unable to get out of the house and may have died, but I woke up before anything happened.
I also had another one:
It was the last day of school and I was with someone named Jian. It was 11:00 at night and my mom woke up saying that it was time to go to school. Jian's car was out of gas, so we went the the gas station. We didn't know which side the gas tank was on. So we guessed and got it right. However, Jian was just imaginary and I was actually the one driving. The man at the gas station asked for my driver's license and I didn't have one, so I walked home. There was a lot of people on the street a block away from mine and when I got on my street, there were teenage boys living in a house that no teenage boys live in, they had a dog on a chained leash they didn't couldn't control very well.
At one point in the second dream that I wrote, a realized that I was dreaming so tried to wake myself up, but couldn't.

Last night I dreamt I had boy parts instead of girl parts, but they had some sort of infection, so I had to ask my dad how to take care of them in an incredibly excruciating interview

China invaded America, led by a Russian mafia boss (go figure) I had to kill this man and save all my friends, while trying not to be rounded up and used for slave labor.
It was kinda fun but very scary

I had a mixture of sex and violence last night. I rather viciously beat the crap out of two people who were really annoying me. I punched one right in the face, with incredible force. They were being right tw*ts.
I wouldn't do it in RL

Afternoon nap dream - I was somehow in Jaws 4 (which I've never seen), except that the shark was managing to fool everyone by working its way through water pipes to get on land.
First time, it burst through the washing machine of a family friend in the small island community, then slid round her house, trying to sneak up on her and eat her. I'm pretty sure it ate her dog
.
Second time, it got through a hole in the beach and chased me through the house, breaking through all the doors I kept slamming on it to delay it. I just grabbed everyone out of the front room and dragged us free of the house, just as it was working its way through the front room door. I got us onto the driveway and into the truck, only to discover that my second cat wasn't with us. I wanted to go back in, but I was too scared, so I sat in the truck and dad drove us away. I hoped she would hide upstairs and not be discovered.
Third time, it slid out of the sea, under some boats and gazebos, then waited for some kids who were sledging on mud to slide off the mud-jump, to fall right in its mouth. One kid eventually did this, but only recived a bite on his thigh?
I then woke up, heart pounding, adreneline high, convinced it was 6:45am. It wasn't. Cos, you know, it's pm right now.

I have a tendency to dream of water (=my emotions), and yes, sharks (=scary things in my emotions? The monster in my head?).
Not sure I'd consider this a nightmare though - I've had worse ![]()

can you at least give us some hints about the sex parts? sex is better than violence, by a country mile.
indubitably. but with your martial arts training, you surely could do it if you were cornered.
I had one this night, in which there were "soft places" (like in the Dark Tower books) on the farm of my grandparents and when you entered one, you were taken to a strange world with monsters like from "Mist" in. I was trying to get out of the farm due to this.

Ha, too true.
Actually, I can probably get away with it here; I was playing with myself when these two annoying jerks were distracting me so I stopped and went home, but they followed me, and at some point I snapped and violenced them. Not that sexy realllly...

Heh, it's not really one of those sorts of martial arts.
Last night I dreamed I was some kind of teen runaway, or I was on some epic journey across America or something, travelling on buses and bin lorries, hiding from policemen.
At one point I was confused by an ex crush who wanted to give me a kiss, but only because she wanted something from me... it wasn't because she really wanted to, and I avoided her, and wouldn't do it.
In the end I think I made it to where I wanted to be, with whom I wanted to be with, and I felt lovely and safe and happy.
I think I know at least partially what this dream is about.

I used to have the most amazing psychedelic dreams. Really exhausting and intense.
Now I don't remember many of my dreams, probably due to the meds I take to help me sleep.
I did have a slightly odd one last week where I was on a farm trying to find some lost animals. There was a door in the middle of the field, which I went through, and found myself in a shopping mall. One of my cats was randomly sitting there among a crowd of people, as well as a huge rabbit. I picked them both up. I was about to go, when I noticed my mum sitting at a table in a cafe. She had a huge coffee, and a briefcase full of cooked pizzas. I couldn't leave until she finished her coffee, and I got a bit frazzled.
