I was thinking more seriously.

Like say, Palestine is Cis-Jordan, Jordan is formed from the Trans-Jordan; the Jordan River being the feature they're on this or that side of.

Or the Cisalpine Gaul was in Northern Italy, the Transalpine Gauls lived on the other side of the alps.

So, I'm curious which forest Transylvania is on the far-side of.

Hmmm… I don’t know.

Apart from very vague historical information I gleaned from some travel show, I’m only familiar with the Penn sylvania.

I have a gourd on my windowsill that's sprouted and I'm going to buy a pot and some soil for it. Perhaps it's a gourdine because the females sprout.
