I found a little group of horror writers who do regular flash fiction contests. Sounds like a great way to keep myself from getting into a rut.

I was offered a crew gig on an independent feature film shooting next month and with it an internship for the special effects studio working on it. I checked my phone during work and read the e-mail about it and couldn't stop squealing for about a minute.

I had a relatively good time hanging out with my roommates, we've been having some problems, but tonight was a refreshing change.

My sister just emailed and told me that she managed to find and buy both the shirt and the jacket that I wanted. To make it better, the shirt was on special.
