Probably, but the main thing I remember is that it's about a volcanic eruption, and the grandma dissolves in the acid water of a lake.

I think Avalanche was released in 1978 and I saw it when I was a kid on VHS, I'm not sure where or if it is available on any streaming services? I'm sure you would be able to pick it up on DVD though, somewhere.
