Not a recent dream, but I believe I may have had a dream about the Norwegian island massacre, in the past; like at most a year ago. In it, I, and a couple other people, are running into a poorly lit room, where it's unusually far up to the ceiling. I can remember that there was a lot of brown colour in the room, that was about as big as the main room of a small church. There are many seats in the room. We are just about to hide when a blonde man, wearing darker clothes, carrying an automatic weapon walks in, in a fast pace. He says nothing, and has a cold, determined look. Although it seems likely that he's seen us, we hope he just hasn't as we hide behind some sort of wall, farther back, on the other side of the entrance that he comes from (the entrance has a decorated, dark brown door, likely of wood). The second person with me doesn't make it, but me and a girl with blonde, straight, shoulder-long hair does. I can't remember if he kills him in the dream (I think it's a guy), but we know he will. As I remember it, we are able to see him, while we're hiding. We only do it for a couple seconds, though, as the dream ends, there.

I know how this may seem but I swear I have had prophetic dreams, in the past. Maybe the case is the same, this time.

Helping two people I don't know (I haven't seen them before consciously, either) study for Latin (which is a language I don't know.)

Dreams was made up of many short episodes:

I caught a boat after being in a cave. I was with my parents. I don't know how old I was, but I get the feeling I was younger than I am now.

I dreamt I was running Cuba like a video game (Tropico, anyone). It was like I was inside a video game. I messed around with people's houses and then went to the beach. Then the Americans came in warships and landed. They fired bullets all over the beach but none of them hit anyone. Then I went around leading the Cubans in guerilla warfare. I saw a lot of people being shot. Unfortunately, the American soldiers were plain clothes, so we kept shooting out own kind.

I dreamt that I was looking for sunglasses to wear to my boyfriend's play in the Town Hall (that didn't look anything like the Town Hall of my city, but more like a giant brutalist concrete box). I bought some sunglasses and this very hipster shop in a backstreet. Then I got a lift to the Town Hall by my local MP of where I used to live. He dropped me off and then fell asleep in that car. The town hall was all boarded up but I shouted through a gap in the boards and they pulled some of them apart to let me in.

I dreamed of a little girl that hid her scarred face with a mask.

i dreamt i was back at work hell again [this one was a soft nightmare with no sweating or intense emotion, just bewilderment], only it was a [hospital] clinic totally different from anyplace i'd ever worked in before- every doorway had a card-lock, in that one had to swipe a badge through a reader and enter a code to get into any room, and i had a badge alright but i couldn't remember the code, as though i'd been on vacation for a looooooonnnnggggg time and had just forgotten it altogether- some shady looking fella saw me struggling and he took my card and put it in another card reader further along the wall next to the door, and then the display said he got paid some amount [i can't remember] and he took my card and ran away with it- then some irate lady came over and lit into me for robbing her bank account. then i awoke.

i dreamt i was in some kind of car accident where i was killed instantly, i believe a bolt of lightning came in through an open window and electrocuted me. so my spirit drifted out of my body and floated on down the coast to LA [i think that was the city] where i hovered over the dead body of a drunk that had been rolled and left for dead in the alley behind some bars, behind a dumpster. i jumped in the body and reanimated it, and i in my new "walk in" body went to a local homeless shelter and showered and got a change of clothes, then i went to a beauty salon where the person who previously incarnated my new body seemed to have known the proprietor, a pretty black woman, who greeted me like an ex-lover, then gave me a haircut and for the first time i saw myself, my new self, in the mirror and i was shocked- i was GORGEOUS! i looked like i stepped out of a GQ magazine, like a cross between keanu reeves and patrick swayze, i had a perfect football quarterback body and flowing raven black hair, only thing i didn't like was i had this ridiculous "NFL FOOTBALL" red/green/blue tattoo covering the side of my face and part of my forehead. but nobody seemed to mind. i noticed my eyes were piercing black and hypnotic. i could see what the beautiful lady saw in me. she kissed me and gave me some money, and i went back out on the street and noticed how easily i could move, no aches and pains, i was so graceful and athletic. my skin was pale white like i had been a drunk for ages, and was prematurely aged, but i still looked damned good, better than i ever looked in my previous life. later, i met some people on the street who all had these laser beams, blue red and white ones, they game me an unwanted white model and together we went into a gem shop where we proceeded to shine these lasers into the various gems on display. only thing, my laser needed "C" batteries [!] so i went to a radio shack store next door and got C batteries only to find they needed charging, so i went to an electronics store further down the street, and the proprietor seemed to know me, he said "long time no see! what's happenin, man?" and then i awoke.

The last couple of nights I've had those sort of dreams that just make you feel awful when you wake up. The one a couple of nights ago was about this one girl who was a spitting image of Jessica Rabbit (or so I thought in the dream anyway). Absolutely stunning. She was walking and she kept shooting me these angry stares like I was being a pervert by looking at her but at the same time she was lightening up and starting to kind of smile. Then this OTHER beautiful girl walks up behind me, puts her arms around me and says "whats the matter, babe?" and.....that was it. :(

Then last night I had this dream about all of my co workers and friends turning on me because I'm an Aspie. I don't remember much other then a lot of people yelling at me about it and me driving some pimped out hot rod to get away from them all and finally hiding out in a large abandoned parking lot at night......looked like I was close to China Town on one side and the other was just totally barren.

The fart dream was funny! :P

I don't remember starting this thread!

I haven't had good dreams in a while. Semi-recently, I had a dream I was a dragon, part of a technologically advanced army of the future, and I woke up just as the enemies were about to explain their weapon of mass destruction! :( I was so curious.

i had another "box cannon" dream last night.

i tend to dream about absurdly ineffectual actions that are arduously performed by otherwise intelligent looking people. i remember those dreams well because i start to laugh in real life while i am dreaming them, and it wakes me up and i remember them clearly for that reason.

i have had a running line of comedy in my head for many months relating to "box cannons"

i thought i was going to lose my I.T job, so i bought a business that delivers frozen fries to plenty of shops for good profits.
at first, i had to drive the truck myself and deliver the chips.

at that time, i imagined that it would be wonderful if i could just load up a cannon in my back yard with the various stock that was supposed to be delivered to each shop, and i could adjust the ballistic trajectory of the cannon so the boxes i shot out of it would land on the sidewalks outside each shop (i ignored the damage to the stock, and incorporated it into the "mirth " factor.of the idea).

soon after, during sleep, i dreamed that the "box cannon" was the standard way of doing deliveries in the world, and the sky was full of boxes being flung everywhere, and there was a constant sound of "boom" "boom" "boom" from all directions as the boxes were launched.from thousands of "delivery cannons".

last night i dreamed that there were boxes being flung all over the place as usual, and incoming air traffic was colliding with them, and i imagined (before the dream dissolved) that box canons will very soon be a part of history considering the mayhem that was about to follow with boxes flinging into planes at high speed causing their demise etc.

i dream dreams that are not very productive to consider.

i was just looking for this thread

i dreamt i suddenly had some sort of tumour on my heart/lungs and needed an operation immediately; which would involve prising open my ribcage. i had to quickly pack to go to hospital and was worried about what to bring- was i allowed my laptop, i couldnt find my mp3 charger, would the doctors see my knickers...which ones shall i wear, omg i should shave my legs etc etc. i was very scared about the operation & my mum tried to sooth me by saying she had a tumour in her neck and would probably need an operation too (cheers mother). it ended as i got to the hospital

in another part i had to walk a very very long distance to get home. i remember thinking 'im not even in upminster yet' over and over. on the way i came across lots of little villages, all having various celebrations/protests about keeping britain british. union jacks all over the show. i stopped off to watch and take photographs. some of the villagers noticed i wasnt a villager and stopped to watch and take photographs of me. I also befriended a young mum and her toddler daughter after admiring her pushchair. we arranged to go to lakeside and buy the girl new shoes sometime (which we did, but i'm bored of telling you about my not so exciting dreams now....)

i dreamt i was in some weird place like a city school equipment warehouse, and the area of it i was in was full of old wall lockers, and i was in front of all the lockers i'd ever used when i was in school and also in the army and at work. they were all open and visibly full of old paperwork and flyers and such, and in most of 'em were at least one gaily decorated xmastime bag full of various things i'd long forgotten about, including mass quantities of rotting food still in the shiny foil wrappers, untouched and uneaten. this made me sad, as i went through bag after bag full of untouched food i'd intended to get to later when i had more time. into the garbage it all went, bit by reluctant bit. while this was happening, in the background was playing the beatles' "blackbird singing in the dead of night." also in the bags were tinsel'y pretty xmas gifts i hadn't even bothered to unwrap and see what they were, so i did this piecemeal, sitting atop my pile of debris from the lockers. "take these broken wings and learn to fly..." played the song, as i sadly regarded various trinkets and tokens and "it's the thought that counts" castoff thingies... "take these sunken eyes and learn to see..." as i sat there halfheartedly combing through stuff i knew i had to consign to the trash bin. "all your life... you were only waiting for this moment to arise..." played the sad choirboy voice of paul as i sat and cried silently, for potential left unrealized and stunted. "blackbird fly....into the light of the dark black night..." the debris piled so high beneath me that i ended up on the 2nd story of the building, rising above a mezzanine, where there were more lockers and more trash cans and more forgotten cheeseburgers in their unopened wrappers, and more trinkets and other gifts still in their pretty bow-bound xmas paper, more tossed items into the trash, by this time i didn't have the heart to unwrap anything more, i couldn't stand the sight of it all. now the beatles were playing the last few chords of "abby road" singing, "and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make." then i awoke.

i don't really get the full meaning of this dream, any nice WPers out there wanna take a crack at it, por favor?

I think it's telling you to start using the treasures you have, auntie, and not leave them locked away rotting.

I really love that song btw

From the Guide to dreams dictionary:

Quote:
Blackbird
To see a blackbird in your dream, signifies a lack of motivation. You are not utilizing your full potential. Alternatively, it represents jealousy, lust or temptation.

Food
To see food in your dream, represents physical and emotional nourishment and energies. The different types of food can symbolize a wide range of things. Generally, fruit is symbolic of sensuality. Frozen foods may imply your cold emotions and frigid ways. Eating certain foods refers to qualities that you need to incorporate within your own self.

To dream that you are hording or storing food, indicates a fear of deprivation. You do not trust what you already have.

To see or eat stale food in your dream, suggests that you are feeling sluggish and emotionally drained. You need to be invigorated and revitalized. To eat bad-tasting food, indicates some sourness or resentment in your emotional state of mind.

Sad
To dream that you are sad, suggests that you need to learn from your disappointments and just be happy. Try not to dwell on the negative. The dream may be a reflection of how you are feeling in your waking life.

As for the meaning of the said poem, it seems that the "you were only waiting for this moment to arise" part was a reference to the black people's struggle in the southern states, and he was using the symbolism of a blackbird. McCartney was inspired to write it while in Scotland as a reaction to racial tensions escalating in the United States in the spring of 1968.

(hope this helps)
