Those flowers look like some type of piranhas!! Very cool. All of these British images seem very similar to the states. I feel like I'm at home, just overseas!

Oodain- We have similar problems with erosion on Lake Erie. There is actually a partial section of road that has fallen in, including the houses along it, lol.

Not the greatest photos, but some nearby bridges-

Heh - it was a combination of both, actually.
The lens was a 200mm zoom but only tweaked to around 100mm, IIRC. The sparrow was about 15' away and I was fairly well hidden too.

cool, i would have guessed a larger lens but it just makes it all the more impressive.

The great 144' Norman tower of St. Albans Abbey, from the north-west.
Work began on this in 1077, using brick tiles and flint from the nearby ruins of the Roman town of Verulamium, building upon and expanding the earlier Benedictine abbey founded by King Offa in AD 793.
The topmost shuttered windows are those of the belfry, containing a ring of twelve bells. The oldest, still in regular use (the Sanctus bell), was cast in 1290.
I've been in the belfry during bell-ringing practice and despite weighing around 5,000 tons, the whole tower sways, shakes and creaks as the bells are rung.
That's something of an experience, quite apart from the sound of the bells.

Check the ToS on ImageShack first though and see if you agree with their copyright provisions...
