My family is very patriotic except for me. They're die hard Canadians and I'm a modern day incarnation of one of my male British ancestors. I say male because of my gender issues. I think it's quite cool how traits pop up every so many generations. My mum used to give me a really hard time about it. That's part of the reason that I've moved out at the age of 32. I had this plan that I was going to live with them forever, look after my parents and buy their house when they passed away. That plan was shattered by intolerance for that one difference of mine that was still alive and well in 2006. Oh well. I'm better off living on my own.

My mom AND my sister both believe
there is no such thing as a mistake.

Talking either of them, or both of them down, doesn't work
because anything said just bounces off of them.

My dad was working in the Oil Riggs when my mum gave birth to me.

My entire family are devout Catholics. I'm the only born-again Christian among them.

My great great grandma may or may not have been the illegitimate child of Billy the Kid.

My uncle (a Canadian who lives in Canada) worked for a few seasons of survivor and can be seen VERY briefly in one episode. My family isn't very interesting, so that sticks out to me.

My sister is an egocentric b!tch and shows signs that she IS an Aspie.

My great aunt was rumored to have babysat Walt Disney, but I don't think it's true.

My grandma lives in Oklahoma.

On our trip to Truro this week, my mother and I played a car game of Twenty Questions, only the rule was that it had to be famous people, they could be real, fictional, living or dead. And every time you asked a question with the answer "yes", you were allowed to be given a hint. Of course I wanted the person to be someone my mom knew or had at least heard of so it would be but not impossible but still a challenge. So I picked Beetle Bailey who appears daily in our newspaper. My poor mother almost lost it. When I hinted at Beetle Bailey's first name being that of an insect, she said bee and butterfly and everything but beetle.

One the people she had me guess was Aladdin, who I guessed after only asking two questions. She almost lost it at that too for my guessing it so fast, but I told her most Disney movies revolve a lot around the female main character if they're human, like Snow White and Cinderella.

My mother is dyslexic.

My sister has always hated her BFF ever since they met in HS.
