If you could fly or be invisible, which would you choose? (and why)

My first instinct is to say that I would choose to fly because I love to travel and it would be a free, always-available method of (hopefully long distance) transportation. But upon further thought, I decided that I would choose invisibility, because it would enable me to survive without being completely trapped within human society. For example, I would not have to work a soul-sucking job for money if I could become invisible and steal the things I need. And I could sneak on trains for travel, if I felt so inclined. I don't steal myself and wouldn't, but if it would enable me to be free, I feel pretty confident that I would have no qualms about it.

Invisibility. I like to keep a low profile, and that is pretty hard if you are flying everywhere. Besides, there are some fun things that you can do, like playing pranks. I also want to see what my shrink is writing about me.

What's the best nonfiction book you've ever read?

I don't know that it was the best, but Neil Postman's Building a Bridge to the 18th Century: How the Past Can Improve Our Future comes to mind as one I found very interesting and enjoyable.

I do not really have a favorite, so I'll just pick one: A book called "Mango Days". It is the diary of a teenage girl, written as she was dying of cancer. It puts that whole life thing in perspective.

Any short story by Augusten Burroughs, especially ones from Possible Side Effects.
