whats are "reeds"?

Reeds are small pieces of either wood or less commonly metal, that are cut to different lengths and thicknesses, and when high-pressure air blows over it, it vibrates and produces a sound, which is amplified with the instrument's body, and the frequency can be changed either with airholes (like on a clarinet or saxiphone) or with multiple, different sized reeds (like on an accordion).

Bagpipes!?!? I am offended, I am Scottish and Irish. :?

I love metal, especially folk and viking metal. And I think Titangeek meant to say "definitely", but has bad spelling. :P

Nope, never heard of that guy.

Have you ever read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams?

In what city were you born?

Bagpipes sound like mating cats.

I have read all of the Hitchhiker books, and I love the first three.

What is your favorite humorous series of books?

I was born in Renton, Washington.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, of course.

Same question. (in which city were you born)

Go to 2:10 and you'll see that the uillean bagpipes are awesome. ;) Uillean pipes are Irish, and the song is song in Breton, a Celtic language closest to Welsh and Cornish, fyi.
