Yup -- must say the older graphical style appeals to me as well, even without the nostalgic element. I love retro games, and for some reason I find their graphics much more immersive than modern graphics in many cases. Loved the SNES Final Fantasy IV, for example, but the updated remake on the DS? Couldn't get more than an hour in before I was bored.

I'd have to emulate to get that older version of the game, wouldn't I?

UK cones are a metre tall, one of the tallest in the world - I've travelled the world and only seen Cyprus so far with taller cones, and the Cypriot cones that relocated to Egypt, of course.

They are expensive birds here in the US. Australia is restrictive about exports.
I had a white-face cockatiel for while, it was noisy as well. It did not talk .

Here, the noisy birds are blue (scrub) jays and magpies. They are related, although quite different in appearance.

Nah, you get the classic game with the new ones I think. On my iPhone you swipe across the screen with two fingers to swap between the graphics styles at any time...I think the ps3 version is the same.

Not commonly - the common colour is red-orange, but some countries do use yellow, lime green, black, even grey for their primary colour.

Ten: we have 450mm 700mm and 1m tall traffic cones...we also use bollard style devices, but they lack the pleasant shape of cones...

Perhaps we hav no need to compensate for shortcomings elsewhere

If you are interested I could have a dig through my work materials to see if I have any diagrammatics for standardized traffic control devices with dimensions indicated...or perhaps I could draw you one, in 3D, and render it? I have just recently learnt how to do wet sand which is slightly reflective...I can see it now...lonely cone at water's edge...which will be the title of the piece too
