i don't want you to have a sour stomach, so here's what you might try- slow-cook some drained sauerkraut in a light beer, this will mellow out most of the tartness, then take just a spoon of it and mix it with some chocolate icecream, as chocolate goes with everything, almost
as an alternative, use chilled Mole sauce instead, that is a spanish chocolate sauce mixed with other things. make sure the combo is COLD! if your stomach tolerates it, add more spoons until you start to have crazy dreams. :)

i know my parents are in a good place, they have "talked" to me and my older sister in dreams and twilight sleep.

so you were an air force corpsperson? i was an army operating room tech. a lousy one, i might add. i hated it.

LOL... :D AuntBlabby, you're so sweet. The beer cooked saurkraut sounds interesting. And I know what mole is but I thought I'd eat the saurkraut with semi-melted ice cream, probably chocolate which will be much sweeter than mole, I really want the contrast of sour and sweet. Sour stomach or not, I'll live. I'm curious as to what kind of dream it might produce.

We called ourselves Medics in the Air Force but I worked with some Navy Corpmen sometimes. I loved it., most of the time. I had an unusually great military experience. I married a well seasoned Naval Officer so I was treated quite differently from other enlisted people. I was treated with a great deal more respect. I associated with Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Officers and their wives mostly because it was expected of me. I was pulled into the other world sort of speak through my husband at the time. I know I was fortunate by that. I might not of liked it otherwise.

I'm no social butterfly myself AuntBlabby. I was the quiet one who sat in the corner with a beer can in my hand instead of a glass of wine (like the other officers' wives) while I watched and listened to everyone else carry-on with their little social games. I've always been kind and respectful to everyone no matter who they are unless they give me reason to be otherwise. Evidently it was enough to get by on in those social situations. I've never considered myself as a success or fail in those social settings... just me being me. Otherwise, I could of cared less. I don't enjoy playing petty little social games and I believe I made myself very clear. All the senior officers really liked me so I never had any problems with any of the wives or anyone else for that matter. That's about it.

flying over green hills, trees and farms at 1000 ft altitude or so. with my son. we were sitting on a large white piece of paper. I kept wondering how we could possibly be flying on a piece of paper. it was really windy. my son told me it was fine, as we were in the future and technology had somehow addressed the issue.

I've had a few interesting dreams the past few days, can't remember them much though, a bit from Saturday nights dream...

I was in a sort of doss-house located on the main road leading up to my old high school, it was for those who were between homes, there were a few old school mates hanging out there, myself and a few Japanese boys (dressed like you'd see in Harajuku) - I skipped school and we spent the day together, I fell in love with one Japanese boy in particular.

As it turned out these Japanese boys were three of several ghosts who would pass through, living for a short time in the house in which I was staying before passing to the next life - a sort of spiritual half-way house as well as a doss-house for those of us still living. The next day I went to school, not realising that upon leaving the house the boy I was in love with was about to pass over.

In school - I was donned in full school uniform (think traditional English school girl) and an army helmet - there was some sort of ghoulish monster ripping through fences and eating students, I was somehow safe from this monster (I think there was an ongoing undertone suggesting that there was something 'special' about me), however I was in no mood to fight it so decided going home was the best plan. Then I found that this Japanese boy I was in love with had passed over, without a chance to say goodbye.

[At this point I was half awake and half asleep so the dream became more lucid]

Being as I lived in a sort of spiritual half-way house there was a whole world of spiritual weirdness to explore now, starting with the woman who ran the house who I quizzed on finding a way to see this boy again - apparently there was, one way involved tapping a big white stick on the ground, each time used it would burn a little shorter, and once it ran out that way to reach him was burned-out. The rest is fuzzy, generally lots of getting this boy back over into the land of the living so we could be together, finding new ways of keeping him over here longer, and going between this half-way house and the school with the monster.

It was a good dream - very much Japanese-themed.
[FYI I'm not a huge fan of Japanese culture, so not why my dream was like this]

last night I dreamed that I was at work, and had somehow dropped my laundry around everywhere. So I had to go and pull my panties off of my boss's desk and pick my socks out of the dirt in the parking lot.

...that was pretty darn weird.

Son
To see your son in your dream signifies your ideal, hopes, potential, and the youthful part of yourself. On the other hand, to see your son in your dream may not have any significance and is simply mirroring your waking life. The dream may also be a pun on "sun".
Flying
To dream that you are flying signifies a sense of freedom where you had initially felt restricted and limited.
Floating
To dream that you are floating on air indicates satisfaction, contentment and acceptance of some situation. You are letting go of your problems and rising above obstacles. You are experiencing new-found freedom and gaining a new perspective on things. Nothing seems overwhelming or too difficult to handle.
Green
Green signifies a positive change, good health, growth, fertility, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. The appearance of the color may also be a way of telling you to "go ahead". Alternatively, green is a metaphor for a lack of experience in some task.
Trees
To see lush green trees in your dream symbolize new hopes, growth, desires, knowledge, and life. It also implies strength, protection and stability. You are concentrating on your own self-development and individuation. Alternatively, the dream signifies the cycle of life or the passage of time. To fly high above the trees would seem to mean that you are looking at your life in the long view, seeing where you came from and where you're going in life, what your future will be like.
Farm
To see a farm in your dream suggests that you need to develop an aspect of yourself and utilize your potential. You are ready for growth. To rise and fly high above farms would seem to mean you are well on your way to greater truths, and greater lessons in life.
Hill
To dream that you are flying high above a hill suggests that you have succeeded in your endeavors. You have the necessary resources to complete the task at hand, to fly over greater hills towards ultimate goals.
White
White represents purity, perfection, peace, innocence, dignity, cleanliness, awareness, and new beginnings. You may be experiencing a reawakening or have a fresh outlook on life.Alternatively, white refers to a clean, blank slate. Or it may refer to a cover-up. In Eastern cultures, white is associated with death and mourning.
Paper
To see blank white paper in your dream signifies your desire to make a fresh start in your life. You need to express yourself through writing or art. Alternatively, blank paper indicates that you need to work on being more communicative. To be flying on a big white piece of paper would seem to refer to big plans in your waking life, to make a fresh start and go different places in life.
Fly Paper
To see or be on a piece of paper flying in the air, may also be a pun on fly paper, which in your dream indicates that you are involved in a slightly sticky situation, or wish to extricate yourself from a tough place.
Flying Machine
To see a flying machine in your dream foretells of steady and satisfactory progress in your future endeavors.
Wind
To dream that the wind is blowing symbolizes your life force, energy, and vigor. It reflects changes in your life.Alternatively, the dream suggests that you need to pick up your pace and work on achieving your goals more quickly and efficiently. To dream of strong or gusty winds represent turmoil and trouble in your life. You are experiencing much stress in some waking situation.
Future
To dream that you are in the future signifies your hopes or your fears of how things will turn out. You are feeling apprehensive about the future but are headed there because you have no choice. The future is coming at you and you are taking it as best you can.

I was on Gateway Station in orbit of Earth and a spacecraft docked which had been on a mission to LV426. There was no problem apparent at first. The crew of the ship was fine and it seemed like just another day at the docks. But their cargo... was human beings in cryostasis.... A week later, these evil monsters were killing everyone on the station, and it was declared off limits to every ship. I found a safe place to hide and stayed there.

I'm sorry to hear that because you're a wonderful guy who has a heart of gold. I know I was really fortunate because I have heard and have seen situations of others who were in the military that were terrible.

One time, I had a newly assigned ssgt tell me to go in the ER and clean up the mess he made and I told him to clean it up himself, I wasn't his mother or his maid. He tried to write me up but his supervisor threw it away. He never spoke to me like that or tried to write me up for anything ever again.

I know if I was someone else enlisted, I probably would of gotten written up and reprimanded for saying that to him and refusing to follow orders. I've seen other enlisted people be treated horribly usually by higher ranking enlisted people but sometimes officers too. There was no reason for people to get that ugly and mean with other people of lower rank. They were just being abusive and unfortuately it happened quite often.

I had a bizarre dream where I was Tails the fox from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and I had to race a cheetah by burying my face in the dirt and clawing my way through it to the finish line.

Two nights ago, I had a weird (but good) dream that I was in an anime universe where I was friends with Helena Bonham Carter. In that same dream, I discovered that she did a hentai movie where she was the glasses-wearing manager for a brothel. 8O

That's quite epic :D

i knew a GI who was given 6&2/3rds for just that. his same supervisor pulled more crap on him and he was again insubordinate to the brasshole, so he got restriction to the company, a court martial and bad conduct discharge. one guy has a loose thread on his button during an in-ranks inspection, and the 1SG ripped his coat off by the buttons, screamed at him face-to-face like a drill, dropped him for punitive pushups, made him show up at the company or CQ from 6PM to 10PM for 2 weeks with his dufflebag full of uniforms, where he had to button and unbutton them all in front of the sergeant on duty, who had to inspect his buttons also. if the poor buck private had any private's stripes they would've been stripped also.

anyways, i dreamt i was in my old hospital where i used to work [once again!] and it was a low-census day [no patients on the board] so the hospital brass decided it would be a good day to invite a celebrity for PR purposes, so garrison keillor happened to be in town after giving a speech at some college, and he swung by the hospital, and the unit nurses had prepared a play to perform for his approval, "the yankee girl," with the song "i've got rings on me finger, bells on me toes." but the character penny didn't get a chance to sing it, after all the preparations of turning the recovery room into a stage with backdrops and props and such, because none of the nurses could remember all their lines, and after garrison proactively filled in the missing lines, he got tired after a while and gracefully said his goodbyes and left to see other parts of the hospital. afterwards, the dejected nurses sat on beds in the recovery room and discussed how they mucked the whole thing up. i was holding a supersized scalpel in my hand, about the size of a kitchen steak knife, it was gleaming in the fluorescent overhead lighting, and the handle was polished bronze, almost like an art object. one of the nurses saw this and said to me that it was dangerous for me to be holding such an object, that i should give it to him, to which i replied, "no, let me dispose of it in the sharps container, and as i brought the scalpel up to the container the blade broke into many jagged pieces, all of which thankfully fell into the container. then i awoke.
