My first avatar was a resized small sample of a painting by Leonardo da Vinci.... 'Lady with Ermine'. It showed the ermine and the hand of said lady. I thought it was appropriate at the time (for me the ermine stands for what I am (AS even) and hands are a long time fascination for me as well) but started to dislike it later on. Second was resized painting of an artist I cannot recall.... um, the ermine was in winter fur, i.e. white.

The third is the one I use now. Still like it.

I had a Calico cat and it didn't last very long. Then I changed it to my B&J avatar

I have never changed my avatar. My avatar is a picture of me taken in 1974 when I was a few months away from 10 years old. I was standing next to a vase of roses that my father had gotten my mother for their wedding anniversary. I have used this picture from this stage in my life because this was about the time I realized I didn't exactly fit in with this world. My passion for roller coasters had taken hold, and I was becoming more involved with music.

Hi Spokane_Girl---no problem, a lot of people thought I was older than I was. But that picture was taken in August of 1974, and I would turn 10 in November. So I was only 9 in that picture. When I was 13, a lot of people thought I was 18. Then as I got in my mid-20's to late 20's, a lot of people thought I looked younger than I was. Now, at almost 45, I don't know what age I look---maybe we had just better leave it at that :lol: .

Mine was a picture of my idol, Freddie Mercury. One from a 1986 performance at Wembley Stadium. Close to this.

It was this photo of an Acacia tree in the Negev desert, in Israel.

I've only had three avatar pictures. The one above, a brief portrait of my own face, and the one I currently have.
