I used to daydream that monsters would come eat my second-grade teacher and all my classmates, then make me their Queen and run away together. I think most kids might find the idea of monsters eating everybody scary, but I liked it and wanted to join the monsters. Too much Where the Wild Things Are?

I did that too. XD
Not because of nightmares though...
And if I wanted to fall asleep but I couldn't, sometimes I would try to make myself pass out from breathing too hard/fast or holding my breath too long. It never worked though..

Those aren't really too weird though I don't think. Hmmm, weird things..
I used to cover my hands with slugs. As many as I could fit.

edit: lol nevermind.;;; I just asked my friend and she said she did that too. Damn, it's hard to know what's weird.

I did a lot of things that were weird. I still do a lot of things that are weird. Hm... I used to lay in the yard when the snow would start and stay there for hours until I was covered in inches of the stuff, I used to jump from a tree to my roof, I used to pretend I was this dog I called Lil Pisser and I would crawl around barking and pretending to mark my territory... one time when I was really enjoying dog mode, I crawled home from school barking at cars. It was funny as all get out. I used to take things literally and I heard someone talking about 'tree huggers' once and I thought that was hysterical so I went around hugging trees for a few months. I used to have a running story in my head all of the time where every thing I did become some weird event... I do not know... I am sure there are a lot more, but that seems to be all I can think of at the moment.

I supoose that would have to be playing with my fingers, in that often I would emulate things that often I had seen on cartoons along with special effects that I made too!

I developed an elaborate system for playing wagames using micromachines military units.
Then I reached 9/10 and found out about warhammer, and gave up.
And never took up warhammer either, oddly enough.

I arrange things in order.

I used to talk with my imaginary friends.

I used to go out when there's a heavy rain.

I used to play "do not step on the lines" while walking.

Every single time something broke, I would say "Uhoh, better get Macco!"

That laying in the snow thing sounds fun! XD; I don't think the snow falls fast enough around here though..

I used to pretend I was a dog too!! ! For like a year I was a dog. Once I asked my mom if I could get a tail transplant. She was starting to get really weirded out by it I think. D: D: D:

TREE HUGGERS, omg. Someone explained to me what they really were, but I still thought their primary job was to hug trees..

There was a lot of stress in my life when I was a child, so when things got too intense for me I used to quietly pretend/ try to filter my perception of what I was going through that the life I lived in dreams or fantasized about in my bedroom was my real life and that my waking life wasn't real.

I remember seeing a lot of ads as a child for a charity called Reading is Fundamental which was in Rockville, MD so I called my "real" home Rockville. I loved organizing my rocks and minerals collection, so the name resonated with me for that reason as well. I played this game quietly inside my head off and on for years.

Back when I was about 10 and really into Pokemon I believed that I was the chosen one to command a group of birds that came from rocks into battle. So I collected these rocks and threw them to the ground when "battling", a la Pokeballs. I believed I could save the world, but then grew bored of the idea. About two days later, 9/11 happened...

one random thing i remember doing alot as a kid was mixing together margerine and sugar and eating it... i dunno why but i really liked that gritty feeling of the undissolved sugar granules. also i remember looking at my fingers alot and tracing lines which i still do when i'm not thinkin about it and am lost in thought... also even these days i find myself lining up specks of dirt on the window pane with the rooftops and stuff outside (does anyone else do that?)

I'd pretend I was an evil king and my action figures were my subjects who had to win my approval or be "killed"

When I was eight years old I believed I was an adult, and my mother actually thought I was at that age too. Her mental age had probably become younger than mine at that point.
