A gold plated laptop would be way too heavy to be useful.

I would buy a Russian wife. I would probably end up letting her go though.

I wouldn't imagine it being very very heavy actually as a matter of fact.... I would be pretty sure that it wouldn't be that heavy as long as the gold is real. :D

- Also I would buy my friend this platinum chain he's been going on and on about  I guess that would make him happy and that sure would keep him distracted.

Buy a house somewhere remote, somewhere tranquil, and rent out my old house to a chapter of 'hell's angels' to piss off my crappy neighbours!

Buy an old historic home with quirky architecture. Furnish my house. Continue life as usual.

I suppose I'd invest what I had left (which should be at least half) and try to live off the dividends. Or buy my way back into the college that kicked me out all those years ago.

Do some house repairs, gift my children and invest the rest very carefully.

how comes the college kicked you out? And I'm not sure if paying them is going to work?

10 K for comics and invest the rest on government bonds with maturity of 1 year so I could live on the interest I would receive a wise decision. (the interest rate on bonds is quite high in my country!)

I would higher a bunch of people to start and run a business for me. Once it can support itself, I would start traveling the world.

Invest it in business ventures and stock. A million dollars is only about half a million pounds anyway, which isn't anywhere near what I'd call a fortune.
