I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I did not care at all for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button but I enjoyed Juno. I thought the movie was cute. I wouldn't say it's one of my all-time favorite movies, but I did enjoy it.

What I don't understand is why Napoleon Dynamite is such a popular movie. I really did not like that movie, and I don't understand its appeal. :?

Yeah me too, I watched Napoleon Dynamite back when it was a big deal and couldn't stand it. I really enjoyed Juno though. It was cute and I thought it captured the life of a quirky teenager pretty well. She reminded me a lot of how I was when I was in high school. And yeah some parts of the movie seem a little too hipster-like and contrived, but you have to remember that they are teenagers. I thought all of that stuff went well with their characters and the fact that they are only 16.

Around here, in my small Australian town, Juno seemed to be extremely popular with the 11 - 16ish age group and mostly females.

As for me, no thank you. I found it to be irritating.

I found the movie to be a paean to the laziness of American teenagers, thank you very much. Also, the characters are total scumbags; Juno alone makes the characters from The Informers look like people with high moral standards.

Finally, someone who agrees with me! :) I thought I was the only one here who liked Juno.

Im guessing it was a niche/clique following for being "snarky" and "indie".

I like it.

Frankly I think its beautifully shot. The storyline is great, so long as you don't take it too seriously. Obviously most real teenagers don't talk like that.

Then again, I'm sort of a snarky hipster.

I didn't particularly like Juno very much, partly because of the storyline and partly because of the prepubescent Michael Cera.

Basically. Just another teen pregnancy movie.

I liked Napoleon Dynamite although when I watched it I didn't realize it was popular. It was kinda weird but made me laugh.

I thought Juno was incredibly boring. I was watching it but nothing was really keeping me interested so after a while I was like "meh" and stopped.

I'm going to be the rebel here, and confess, that I want to see that movie.
