(Sorry, I can't help but bash the Welsh language everytime I am reminded of it. Despite that I make fun of it, I like the language.)

I am fascinated by curiosities in the English language and other languages. That is one long word!

You'd run well out of board spaces and pieces, unless you're playing some super huge version of Scrabble.

If anyone can properly spell this word, then they should deserve some super award. It has more letters than the world record for memorizing the most digits of pi.

It does NOT resemble Welsh in any way. It looks like what it is:a medical term created by linking together internationally known (Latin and Greek based) medical/chemical terms. Its hard, but not impossible, to pronounce. If it were vernacular Welsh then it would be impossible to pronounce. And...it actually has vowels! And vowels where you expect to see them. Nothing like Cymru (the Welsh name for the Welsh language).

I'm rather fond of that mountain in New Zealand with the very long Maori name. I forget it all right now but if you've ever seen the Kenny Everett Show one of the regularly-featured songs recited it in its entirety. It was called The Lone Ranger, performed by Quantum Jump, and was banned by the BBC in 1978 apparently for homoerotic overtones. While that was the official explanation, I think it had more to do with the fact that Everett's show was on the rival ITV network (LWT) becuase lyrically it was rather tame compared to the other material the BBC was banning in the same era.

OP's ginormous word sure has a lot of Y's in it.
