True, we have quite a few city names from Native American languages in my state, like Issaquah, Puyallup, Seattle, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, Cle Elum, Wenatchee, Walla Walla, and the list goes on. I can guarantee that no foreigner could pronounce the first two correctly, especially Puyallup.

Yes. Actually, it's from the name of a tribe's chief, although butchered in pronunciation.
Yes, that is how you pronounce it. The "y" and "u" are reversed in pronunciation.

It's fairly nice during the summer here. Winters are pretty brutal. It's a small city of around 200,000 people and about 1 million in the surrounding area. We're close to Lake Ontario and some nice wine country to the east called the Finger Lakes. It probably sounds nice but it is one of the fastest shrinking cities in the country for some reason.
