Who here likes cats?
I don't have pets because I'm too disorganised to look after one properly, it wouldn't be fair on it.
If you're talking about feeding, the way my parents always did it (and my mother and younger sister do it) was that they left food out for our animals to eat. This way, the cat (or dog) can eat whenever it wants. And no, they don't overfeed. They will for a short period if you feed them at specific times during the day and then start leaving food out. Otherwise, they won't.
If you're talking about litter boxes... well, there are automatic litter boxes now.
If, after reading this, you decide to get a cat, please adopt one from a shelter or else take one in off the streets (all the cats my parents had came from off the streets).

Love cats. If I could I'd take them all with me in my little mobile home. Most people in my redneck trailer park hate em'. I know of one guy who likes to use antifreeze on cats that roam in his little messy yard. I'm not exactly sure why there's so much hatred toward cats in my area. Anyway I find it rather fascinating how many aspies love cats. I've been on this site for a long time and the cat seems to be on the top list for people whenever this question is asked.

That's just so me!! ! People tell me that I talk to cats more than I talk to people but I can't help it.
I have two black cats. I took one from a shelter and took another one in off the streets. They are my best friends, my family

Thanks for the advice.
I'm hoping to get cats in the future, when my house doesn't resemble a slightly cleaner version of the town dump.
For now I'm happy enough when next doors cats come in to say hi, and hope they don't bring cardboard box mountain crashing to earth.
I was over at my mom's and one of the cats that visits her when she smokes came right in when she opened the door.
...And her cat chased it off. :/

Cats are SO awesome! Whenever I see one, I just want to go and hello and pet it. Unfortunately, around the neighborhood most are feral, so they usually run away. I only have on kitty because my parents don't really like them. But I love them so much and they're so funny. At least mine is. She's the little princess of the house and knows it. She loves to play little jokes. I think she does it intentionally, liking the fact that she gets away with it.lolAt work, my coworkers asked me to do a trivia each week. They're always so impressed with the fact that I know so many random facts about things. Mostly the trivia is about cats.XDWhen people pass by my cube, they say they can hear a meow, I have cats all over. I have posters of cats, I have two cats on my monitor, I have some cats on my desk, on a shelf. That's not to mention the ones I have at home(figurines, not real ones). I've currently decided to go for the world record of biggest collection of cats. For it, I think I need about 25000 items or so. My coworkers said that they would help me go for the record. When a couple of them went to New Mexico, they bought me a little kitty sculpture to go towards my record.
Has anyone here ever had a sweater, purse or anything made out of their cat's fur, btw?

Yes cats are awesome.....I had a cat and he sort of dissapeared recently, he's been missing for like a month so I think he finally met his match he was known for getting in fights. Its quite unfortunate because I've had him since I was 7 and sometimes I saw him as my only friend I did not really have any friends so yeah. I have not cried about it or anything but it is rather upsetting to think about. But he did have a pretty good life so there is that.
Intrestingly enough though a cat that was either abandoned or mistreated(and ran away). Started hanging around my moms house and sort of made it clear she wanted us to keep her. She has yellow eyes, short all brown fur(which I have never seen on a cat before) and is pretty small but acts like about a year old.

I love cats but I am more of a dog guy. My brother's American Bulldog "Matilda" just had 4 pups this is her second litter her first one she squeezed out 10 my brother made over $5,000.00 from them. Our male dog Otis has been sad whining around because we have been keeping him away from Matilda so she can take care of her pups without being hasseled by Otis who contantly wants to lay down next to her. I have been aggravatting my brother to e-mail me some pictures of the pups so I can post them here.

I own quite a few items that look like they are made of cat fur. Does that count?
I had such a cool dream about cats last night. Had 3 kittens, each different colors and we loved each other so. In fact, I'm constantly having dreams about cats, I keep on getting disappointed whenever I wake up and realize it was just a dream, because I have no cats in the real world today, but hopefully soon enough.

Hmmm. I would say they do.XDI'd have tons by now, but my mom vacuums them.Grrrrrr.Does anyone here read the Mrs.Murphy series? It's one of my favorites. A coworker gave me a book for Christmas, and I just started wanting to read all of them. I've decided to try to write a series of short stories about a couple of cats who like to tell stories about many cats in history. I finished one about ancient Egypt, and I think the next one will be about Charles I's cats. They're currently visiting Britain, and the other cats belong to the Princess Royal, and are named for two Princess Royals, Mary, for Charles I's daughter, and Vicky for Victoria, the Empress Frederick. It's inspired me to try to see the world the way it must look to my cat. I even get down on my hands and knees to see the world from her perspective. I saw on a dvd that the Disney animators did this when animating Lady and the Tramp, to see what the world looked like to the dogs. Unfortunately, I can't ask her about the scents and sounds and stuff of her world, which must be more diverse than mine, so all I can do is take a guess.
Does anyone here collect their cat's whiskers? They really do bring good luck, I've found!
