There's more to life than just social status.

If it was my decision social status wouldn't exist.
But try to explain that to the rest of the world

I believe 68% of people on WP would fall within 1 standard deviation of the mean score on an IQ test, 95% would fall within 2 standard deviations, and 99% would fall within 3 standard deviations... rather 'normal'. However, I back this up with absolutely no evidence... but it seems more believable to me than the top 1% claim.

Well, we aren't better than NT's... but Aspies are getting richer, because computers will make you rich. And Aspies are great with computers!

Wasn't really 'made up on the spot'... I was referring to the empirical rule for normal distributions. It appears to me that, as a group, we tend to fit the normal curve for intelligence rather well!

I see many people here that have very strong areas of intelligence, but in the sense of overall intelligence I don't think there would be much of a difference in the distribution of intelligence as compared to the general population. That is how I kind of feel about myself too, I feel like I have a 'narrow' intelligence which, when taken into consideration with all areas of intelligence, makes me just 'average'.

I would generally agree. Aspies are above intelligent , but lacking sometimes in other aspects. I never met a dumb aspie before.

Hi! Nice to meet you! Glad to be the first one you've met....I am very serious with this statement, a lot of the people here are intelligent. Not that I am dumb but in comparison to most the aspies here I am. I don't know a whole lot about computers, I took precalc(trig) my senior year, and I only took 2 weighted classes in high school.
