Since Freddy Mercury is taken I'll say Tom Waits or Louis Armstrong. I will be gravelly and will eschew all lozenges.

Louis Armstrong is a good one. I like gravelly voices.

Barry White would be cool too. Maybe Stevie Nicks.

Stephin Merritt, the deepest voice I've ever heard....and then I'd sing all of the time!
And his voice would look funny on me.
