I'm always afraid of stepping on a caterpillar or some other squishy bug when I'm outside with no shoes on.

I saw one in my yard last night and thought it was so cute.

I once was laying in my bed and a good sized spider was dropping down right over me and it was too close to sit up so I started screaming and I had to roll off the bed to escape. It wanted to land on my chest.

Another time what I think was a wolf spider somehow found it's way into my house which was pretty scary and unsquishable. When spiders get that big I can't squish them as at almost feels like squishing a small animal.

that is a Golden Orb Spider, they are enormous Australian spiders that scare me quite thoroughly....

Ladybugs do that too, creeps me too D: but nothing is worse than the sound of a fat moth against the window. even worse when you can't see it.

They do look like giant rats. I guess the cuteness or not depends on if you like rats or not. Personally, I'm really glad that they move slowly. Err, well, except when they get in the garage and then refuse to move at all.

I'm a higher life form and yet I am defeated by possums. :oops:

Oddest surprise I had was at some mildly bad apartments I used to live in. I was using my mouse and all at once the mouse died and cursor wouldn't move. I'm about to change the battery's, but when I grabbed for the lid I felt something squishy. Apparently I had picked up/put the mouse back down on top of a cockroach whose body got stuck in the laser hole under the mouse, and got goo over the bottom of my mouse.

On a good note the batteries where fine.

P.S .. You can usually hear ants fall, especially the medium size army ants and such. They have a hard shell.

I love rats and have pet rats so I guess that's why I think they are cute.

Ants are cool except when you're standing in amongst a whole bunch of them near a nest, also they smell funny when squished.

I do hate them when they get inside though.
