The crowds at the department stores. With the time I spend standing in line at stores during the holiday season, I could be posting on WP.

But KODA 99.1 FM (Houston) plays non-stop holiday tunes from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Unfortunately, I could be trading that tradition for the bright lights of San Antonio...or El Paso...or Boise...or Missoula...

On the lighter side how Christmas aggrievates me:

- my mother's mashed vegetables (gag);
- trying to clean/put away special her dishes without smashing them to bits;
- the stores are usually so busy by the time I finish shopping they make me want to implode;
- wrapping everyone else's gifts to everyone else and my gifts to everyone :roll:
- the mess;
- and the pointless stuff people say to eachother like "Oh! We should get together more than once a year!" without meaning it.

How true! There's a very good reason why people only see each other once a year. Twice a year would be too much :lol:

I hate:
- The summer heat
- bushfires
- Boredom
- My brothers coming home (I really hate them)
- Writing out another xmas letter to send to family telling everyone what we're up to/how we're going/whether we're married yet/other superficial crap :roll: .
- Reading the letters they send us (I wonder how many holidays they've been on this year. They prolly bought another house, they like to brag about how rich they are)

All the stupid decor. The reindeers, the snowmen, elves, snowflakes, and on and on ...

Can't ggo into any store without running into something that has almost no real connection with Christmas, only idiot retail nonsense.

My family and I don't celebrate christmas, because it's a false holiday. But it doesn't mean I don't have problems with this holiday.

1. I enjoy shopping, but I HATE CROWDS, so I prefer to buy after December 25th
2. All that stupid christmas TV special shows
3. All christmas songs
4. Hypocrisy
5. Stupid and useless decoration
6. In general, I hate all about the supossed "christmas spirit", there are only lies

1. Humans
2. Decorations.
3. Faux bonhomie.

re: decorations... went to our local convenience store the other night to pick up smokes and... something, I can't recall what now. Walk in and some 4 foot tall red-clothed freak starts HOHOHO'ing at me. Startled the hell out of me and I damn near popped it one in the face (it was really close, in my peripheral vision, and potentially a threat... I'm not hyperaggressive, just a bit jumpy) until I realised that it was one of those damned singing Santa doll things. Our kid almost peed herself laughing when she found out dad'd almost been assaulted by Santa.

when you're trying to buy a present and the person behind the counter is either too cheery or "whatever".

Being with family. I'm the only Aspie in my family and on both sides of my parent's families and relatives. Needless to say, I know I'm different, I know everyone at these damn parties on the holidays doesn't understand me and I do whatever I can to get out of going.

I love Christmas now, I didn't like Christmas when I was young, but not too much, I'm a christmas person

I had bad memories about it,

Since year 4, I was bored that day after unwrapping the presents, I didn't have my computer then, so did my brother, my dad used it till 5:00 pm, it was boring, I had no friends to play with because too busy and my dad said it's not a good idea to the park because the yobs, my brother wouldn't take me because he's tired, my mum is tired and my dad gets cold easily, all those years I die of boredom in the holidays alot till year 7 :cry:
it's not fair, my brother uses the tv at the afternoons, I use at mornings but I sometimes get up late, I used to hate most of the weekends, half terms and seasonal breaks through out the year, I was a lonley person, but I got to like it at the end because I'm getting confident on weekends, because my mum's friend usaully comes over at her free time, I'm old enough to go to my friends, I got my computer, my brother spends time on his computer often, I can use the tv much as want but I prefer the computer, I get tired to any activities, I make comics.

I don't like christmas at school because the rooms I go in are closed, we have Room 21 where people with disabilty can chill out, do unfinished homework, get new friends, the libuary was closed :nerdy:, the head years room was closed because most of the teacher were having christmas dinner, there is an assembly where we have stand up to sing, its annoying :x.

I also hate the way women dress up sexy santa clauses.

I hate other seasonal things

summer, it's too hot

valentines day, my mum and dad tease me.

halloween, I went trick or treating with a 6 year old, I had to wait for other people open the door, sorry to be ageist but an we knocked on the old man's door, when he came, there is door with windows infront of an another, I open it by mistake, I was only helping, but he got angry, he didn't want to miss his programme, he works as a police man, if I get into more trouble he ring the police, I only find hard to understand or probelly thought I was a chav, because we get alot of them, it's not fair.

Don't tell my mum and dad please.
