I think that's it just gets more coverage because it's where starfleet headquarters is. Not to mention that the story's tend to revolve around humans more, and it makes sense that that is where humans would go.

That always bugged me. The show clearly shouldn't have been about humans, it should have been about Data and his adventures and tribulations attempting to explore a humanity he clearly has, but does not understand.

edit: Data made me feel like somebody understood me when I was a kid. (one of the writers whose name I didn't know, I knew data wasn't real and brent spiner was an actor)

That's utterly impossible. I have talked for 3 hour stretches about Data, every facet of the topic can not have been explored in only a page. I mean, nobody's mentioned what his pubic hair might look like. (the answer is black plastic)

edit: ok I get what you're saying. Still, I would watch The Data Show until I went senile.

They made it a point that he was anatomically correct, so that means he has synthetic pubes. I mean, what does a human need with pubes? I've gotten rid of mine 3 or 4 times, and I've not suffered any maladies. I just stopped finding them on my pillowcase, in my bong, and stuck to my tv.

They were founding members of the Federation but they each had their own space programs. For example Vulcans have the Science Academy & Androians have the Imperial Guard. Think of the Federation as the UN of today & think of Starfleet as one country's military, the Vulcan Science as another military group & the Imperial Guard as another one

Im still trying to figure out what exactly "di-lithium chrystals" are.

Even chemistry experts in our sci fi club in college couldnt agree on what kind of molecule would both contain a pair of lithium atoms, and would form chrystals.

There was a porno parody of Second Generation Startrek available in adult dvd stores. Have only looked at the DVD cover in the store, and havent watched it. But I'm sure you could learn from it anything you might want to know about Data's pubic regions!

Or not-actors in adult movies usually mow the private property!

Would not being a tree really make photosynthesis impossible? A lot of things that aren't plants conduct photosynthesis (like algae and cynobacteria(sp?)) and I've heard speculation that it may be possible for something to conduct photosynthesis without being green.

Or perhaps chemosynthesis? Anything other than photosynthesis or chemosynthesis that humans have encountered would be eating.
