Disembodied artificial facial hair. A troupe of actors was doing a show where I work and one of them had a mustache in a clear plastic box on the vanity in the restroom. I couldn't stand to be in the same room with it.

Bolt guns - not only are they inhumane, they often contaminate the meat by sending pieces of brain matter into the animal's bloodstream. The other option (to cause sufficient impact on the skull so as to induce massive swelling of brain tissue, killing the animal, isn't exactly the most effective way to dispatch livestock, as it often leaves the animal conscious during the slaughtering process.

Yes. My cat was an outdoor tomcat (neutered, but still) he didn't get along with anyone but the spayed female cat next door and this male squirrel. My cat was asleep at the bottom of one of our trees in the front yard, the squirrel would come down the trunk in a spiral and grab the collar from above. Surprise attack. Other than the momentary discomfort of the initial yank my cat was happy to rid of the annoyance.

I later learned its best to remove bells from collars anyway as it only points out to predators where your beloved pet is.
