Yeah, I thought that they were unhealthy. I think I even heard somewhere that they could reduce mental abilities.

That's still under study but the other effects I spoke of are observed affects of small increases in trans fat consumption.

I don't consider substandard goods "Cool".

I like my goods to be of the highest standard.

The customer service is horrid.

The electronics section is filled with whatever crap China finished vomitting up.

The food brands are the generic tasteless crap. And they even go so far as to sell Robusta bean coffee!

The CD selection is sub-par.

The book selection is subpar.

Need I say more?

There are more important things then saving money.

Inexpensive goods are cool. Wal-mart sells itself on low prices and the people it seeks are the price sensitive, you are obviously not price sensitive, therefore to you Wal-mart is not good.

I like my goods to be inexpensive and of a reasonable quality.

I'll admit in the life I lead price is not a paramount factor in buying goods. I'm very concerned with the quality of the goods though.

But saving money is still very important. Now of course, you are right that there is a trade-off, however, in the long run saving money is in one's interests in order to be safe during the rainy days.

True, one must be prepared for trouble but one shouldn't just pinch coins indiscrimately.

Right. In the life I lead, price ends up being a predominant concern as I currently have a low cash inflow and I am concerned about my future and therefore savings as I know that I will not always be young nor will I always have sunny days. I can stomach low quality goods. Heck, our low quality goods are great luxuries anyway so I really am not that concerned in the first place.

Of course that is true. However, between too much preparation and too little, the former is usually better. Considering that all of the food that we eat and most of the things we consume are luxurious from my perspective I am still not that concerned. I mean, really, I am very satisfied with a 1 or 2 $1 burgers at Wendy's or with a 10 cent package of ramen for a meal. Heck, living on such is much better than how my ancestors lived, as they must have been serfs, indentured servants, sweatshop workers or something like that in the past.

$80!! ! Can't you get perfectly serviceable and respectable jeans for like a quarter of that price?? I mean, ridiculous! It is not as if jeans are that major of a luxury item! The people primarily concerned with the kind of jeans you have are idiots!

I could never eat ramen from those little styrofoam cups honestly. Besides, if I want authentic Asian food I'll go to a nice restaurant.
