can asperger people play guitar cords whatever they call ???

ok, here's an example- when you pick up an old-fashioned land line telephone, when you listen to the dial tone, can you tell what note it is? or lacking that, if you heard somebody else play that same note on the piano would you be able to tell that they were both the same note?

I believe that if you sat down at a keyboard with the notes names plastered on top of each key, you could learn how to tell the notes apart. once you do that, then re-learning the guitar by ear will be LOTS easier. that is what I did.
