Well I don't wear shorts in public and or have any dress clothes, I'm pretty much a 100% or close it t-shirt and jeans type of guy. I don't wear sweatpants or anything like that either.

I wear jeans, but they're the soft touch kind, not the stiff sort. They're fairly loose-fitting but sometimes even that tightness bothers me. I just like that they're very versatile and blend in well and go with lots of different shirts.

I wore them all the time as a kid, when styles were looser / more comfortable. Now everyone wears skinny jeans, which feel too contricting. I have a few pairs in my closet, but they tend to get skipped over in favor of leggings and soft, flowy skirts.

Infrequently, usually if I am going somewhere I want to make more of an 'effort' to look like I'm wearing something that seem like I'm dressed reasonably for the location, I often wear shorts or soft pants or jogging kinda pants all of which I consider one step up from pyjama ones, heaver things give me a lot of sensory hassle and I'm always fiddling with them, I call them tier 3 pants, jeans are completely uncomfortable to wear when you want as least bother as possible, they also crush your balls and thighs after ten minutes, I don't wear really loose ones as I don't want them to fall down or anything.

When I go-out, 100 percent of the time----but, not those nasty stiff ones; mine are very soft, and if they didn't have the hip pockets (but, I like those), one could almost mistake them for dress-pants.

When I am at home, I wear only large (as in, "full") / long (not floor-length), 100 percent cotton dresses----I can't get enough of them!!

Yes. I have a couple pairs that I don't like wearing because they're too long or too tight. Otherwise, I find them very comfortable. But there was a period where I wouldn't wear them at all.

Almost always.

I buy them at local thrift stores. The best pair I wear for going out or around home. The others I wear for work. I tend to wear the same pair all week, then wash them, and repeat until they are so tattered I have to throw them out and move on to the next ~$8 pair. I save a lot of money on clothing like this. I also work a construction job that isn't a fashion show so no one cares. They pair nicely with my $2 thrift store t-shirts, too. :P

I'll only bother spending any money on clothes for going out. If I work a sales job again, I'd buy new clothes for that. Otherwise I'm perfectly content wearing cheap blue jeans until they wear out.

My school's dress code means I mostly have to wear jeans.

...What kind of dress code is that ?
Especially?? for females , I tend to imagine school dress codes as being against jeans - BTW , anybody here , what about my question in the initial post about the spelling " bluejeans " versus " blue jeans " ?

Maybe it varies from place to place, but at least around here, jeans are considered more formal. Wearing sweat pants looks lazy, and leggings are too sexy or something. You can't wear very short skirts or dresses. So most people just have jeans left to choose from. People might also have khakis or something like that, but jeans are more common.

I've only ever seen it as "blue jeans".

I wear them when it's raining or very sunny, to help mitigate sunburns. Otherwise, I prefer shorts.
