I really don't know you, that well. I've rarely been able to relate to what you post (that doesn't make you "wrong"----we're just very different); so, usually, I just skim-through your posts.

You and I travel in different circles, so-to-speak; so, if you post things about people, I wouldn't know it.

I've seen posts where people have said, something like: "People talk about me in other threads", and I didn't know who they were talking-about, and who-all was involved----and, I don't mean to be rude, but I can't be worried about it, cuz I already have entirely TOO MUCH on my plate, as-it-is.

Is there anyone else here who you also rarely relate to?

I don't read posts to relate but I usually skim over any long posts people make.

I have never seen anyone here say people make posts about them here until early this month when birdinflight made a thread about it and members in it were saying how people here make posts about others. But I usually stay out of threads like "send a anonymous message to a WP member" because to me those are invites to attack someone without actually saying it to their face and them not noticing and it also causes members to be paranoid. I don't have any balls to make posts here about other members if it's negative. And I usually have nothing to say to someone anyway and when I do, I usually keep it to myself because I think that member would know it's at them if they read it and I don't like conflicts. If I really wanted to talk about someone here, I would make it clear. But I never paid that much attention here to even notice people here were talking about others in threads.

I don't really know you but I am quite new on the forum.

I like your avatar

In some occasions I have read your posts and I could relate.

Maybe being a female mom on the spectrum is just a rare breed. I feel out of place too sometimes but hey, we're all a bunch of aliens just maybe different species?

Hugs

Oh, yeah----I would say that I don't relate to, maybe, MOST people here (other than the ASD part of us)----but, like I said, that doesn't make you, or others, wrong; there's just very few, here, that share the same "life experiences", as me, or, have been raised the same as me, for instance; so, I don't know how, usually, to relate to them (nor, THEY, me).

I thought EVERYBODY read posts, to relate----I mean, it's also good to read posts to which one CAN'T relate, so we can LEARN; but, I don't always have the amount of time, I'd LIKE to have, to read / post on here, so that makes me a bit more "selective", I guess.

I rarely relate to anyone. That is because everyone has different life experience or different problems. My husband says we relate to each other but I didn't think so other than being an outcast and kids leaving when you come. I guess "relate" means different to everyone. My aspie friend's definition of relating is when he is with his father and they both talk sports or watch it together. That is relating. So to me that sounds like just finding something you both have in common with and what you both like.

I also don't relate to most WP members, but I still enjoy coming here and learning from everyone here.

Personally, I think your posts are great.
How funny that it's always the people who are least annoying and obtrusive who worry about being annoying and obtrusive.

Well I have annoyed people in the past and people have gotten mad at me and online I used to be an easy target for rude behaviors from people. Then when anyone accuses me of anything like provoking anyone or being insulting or making posts about other members being all sly and sneaky about it so no one else would know but them, yeah I get really worried and anxious.

Well at least I have a fan. No one ever mentions me in those popular WP member threads.

If you mean threads like the one linked in my signature, a few people did mention you.

I've never written anything in the popular WP member threads because, though I can see the good intention behind it, and I can think of many members who I'd nominate and I was tempted to do so, I cannot get away from the fact that one scans the messages for one's own name. I did so myself, to my embarassment (I didn't find mine either but I started feeling so silly I stopped and went and did something else)

So it does seem to lend itself to generating feelings of insecurity, which is something we don't need more of in this world and in particular this corner of it. We have more than our fair share of anxiety and feelings of social inadequacy.

Though as I said I really appreciate the positive intentions there, and that they're motivated by wanting to do good!

That's something I learned a long time ago.

No, League Girl, you did not offend me.
