I see 70s fashion coming back in the shops. But yes, there will be the "2000s kids" coming of age and getting nostalgic over Hannah Montana, High School Musical and that jazz from the last decade.

What does 2000s kids coming of age mean?

They will be leaving school, entering their twenties, starting families...

Was the 90s really that similar to the 1970s? I don't think it was at all :?

I was born in the 70's, came to age in the 90's. Look at your original post and look at the trend.

I'm just hoping the world is still around and fit to live in. People have been predicting all kinds of global catastrophes since the beginning of history that never came true, but that still doesn't make me wish I had a bomb shelter.

The difference being technology. Natural global disaster is not the same as man made disasters and much harder to predict. Modern history is unique in that we have technologies to easily destroy ourselves and we are at a point were accelerated returns are happening at a much shorter time span. What we have achieved today in 10 years is not the same as what we could achieve even 30 years ago after 10 years of time. Developing technologies are great so long as we don't abuse or misuse them at our own peril. Developing something we are not prepared for being another possibility.

The Summer Olympic Games will take place in Tokyo, Japan in 2020. I'd love to attend.

AWWW YEA

I really love the 2000s in terms of fashion and music, and I read a few articles about some old trends making a comeback, so bring it!
