There's supposed to be a few more stanzas to the Ball Game song that most people have never even heard. I heard them once in an old Max Fleischer cartoon that showed the lyrics on the screen so you could sing along. It told the story of a young girl, a tomboy, who loved going to baseball games, and one time when the score was only two to two she cheered up the boys watching by having sing the lyrics that most people do know to the song.

I still see Cracker Jack at the grocery store, I haven't had it in a long time. I wonder if they still put prizes in the box?

No, just a scan:

Trinket surprises were replaced a while back by paper prizes with riddles and jokes, and in 2013, Frito-Lay began rolling out codes for people to redeem on an app through Google Play. But now, that's expanding: All fans will have to download an app and scan the prize sticker to "[enjoy favorite baseball moments] on your mobile device."

Cracker Jack is replacing toy prizes inside with digital codes

So THAT's where those extra verses in this joke record came from!

They were (more or less) already in the original song!

In the Eighties a comedian who went by the moniker of "Bruce Springstone" did a whole album spoofing Springsteen. It included this track.

They don't put toy prizes in it anymore? That just stinks. :( I prefer buying the big bags of sweet and salty or Chicago mix popcorn at the store, anyway.
