I always get a flu shot.
Google "influenza" and "1918".

Antivaxxers and anyone (other than those with scientifically valid medical reasons not to) who doesn't is a goddamned idiot.

Yes, I did get a flu shot this year and except for some redness around the injection sight for a day or so I had no problems with it at all. So far I've never had any unusual or severe reactions to the shot.

Anti-xaxxers are just infuriating. The huge, filthy lies they're recently posting are both hilarious and repulsive. They claim because their toddler wasn't vaccinated the kid is a total Einstein in diapers. Well, I guess a child would *have* to grow up pretty fast when they're not going to live to age 5.

You can check out on the CDC site how effective the flu shot is, between 10 and 60% since 2004. flu vaccination effectiveness

I’ve never had a flu shot and I used to get the flu every 5 years when I was a vegetarian. I haven’t had the flu in 10 years since I’ve started eating meat again and started supplementing some vitamins. I have multiple chronic health conditions so I’ve been structuring my life to optimize my health. It seems to be working pretty well for me. I have autoimmune issues and my body overreacts to all sorts of medications and I experience extreme side effects. I try to be gentle with my body. I think everyone should be free to decide what works best for their unique system.

I had the flu jab late in November and suffered with localized pain at the site of injection for a couple of weeks. However, I have referred pain in that arm from my neck, so it could have been that.

On Christmas Day I mixed with family members who all were at different stages of having a cold, that night when I got home it felt a bit rough at the back of my nose, I immediately took a dose of echinacea tincture and followed with 3 more doses the next day. Pleased to say I'm still cold/flu free.
