Part of the narrow gauge railway scene could be a cycling adventure including a night camping out in a part ruined castle?

Thanks for further suggestion. That would also be one of the topics at the top of my list.

A reporter with the ability to travel back in time is a pop culture icon in his own time for one reason; the reason being that he interviews people associated with infamous unsolved crimes hours before they actually happen. The interviews are not only important to law enforcement, private detectives, and amateur sleuths, but also are a form of popular entertainment hence the reporter's unexpected fame. After interviewing such people over a long and admirable career, he leaves his field of work. One day, he unexpectedly is visited by a younger man asking the reporter for an interview with him. During the course of the interview, the protagonist is told that the younger man is his future replacement and that he himself will be associated with a crime that will never be solved.

This is absolutely one of the most creative ideas I've heard of, thank you!
I wish my writing skills were just as good enough to live up to this level of novelty.
Probably I need to take extra time and energy to hone my skills to reach a satisfying level.

Clarifications: The people the protagonist interviews will retain no memory of the interview (paradox protection in a way similar to the Men In Black series) in order to avoid damaging time. Generally sent at least 12 hours before the crime actually happens, the work the protagonist does is for documentation for judicial systems despite his unexpected fame. Because the people who are interviewed will not remember being interviewed, the protagonist will have no reason to reveal information about himself, the actual crime, nor anything about his own time.

Yes, Denis is an Uzbek tennis player of Russian descent, born in Orenburg, Russia, near the Kazakhstan border. He was born the same year as Rafael Nadal.
