Traits and personalities of astrology signs
I'm a Pisces.
I used to identify with the list of traits associated with it when I was an adolescent and read a lot about astrology.
I took this quote from a website and it made me chuckle because I'm the total opposite: "Pisces are never judgmental and always forgiving. They are also known to be most tolerant of all the zodiac signs."

all i know is that people on wall street way smarter than me, use it and make money with it. would that i could be among their ranks. but in any case i have found it useful and entertaining, and above all, HARMLESS. the newspaper ones are just bird cage liner but natal horoscopes constructed with accurate birth time and locale, are somewhat more enlightening.

The problem is many astrology sites which give details about traits of every astrology sign, present their information in a way that can appear inaccurate and stupid sometimes because it's difficult to convince people to believe in it without giving a direct proof to what is said about an astrology sign.
When I first began to become interested in astrology signs, I didn't believe anything I've heard / read either. Not everyone has the time or patience to make a deep research on the matter, but when I did, I discovered some of the things being said are actually true and accurate.
I didn't make this thread because I want to convince non-believers in astrology to start believing, and if you don't like astrology or you like it but you don't believe the things they say about your astrology sign, you don't have to, it's okay.
Some sites, and places, are, I fully agree - present information in a misleading way regarding astrology signs, are written by ordinary people - not professionals, experienced astrologers, and so on. So, such sites require being extra careful. Also, there are sites which also include information about the Horoscopes - which is almost always not true. It tells you how your week will be under your astrology sign, and the like, and it's never accurate. That, I agree - it's just stupid and pointless to believe in it.
Some people, however, change so significantly in their personality and attitude, that you can't notice certain traits about them unless you know them really well. And that's obviously only if you are someone who kinda believes in traits of astrology signs, if you aren't then you will consider the subject to be very stupid because of the sites which provide misleading information, as I stated earlier.

I apologize if my post came off that way, I didn't mean for it to. I read a bunch of books about astrology and thought it was interesting, and it helped me develop my strong sense of self-reflection. I just haven't read books or anything like that about it for a long time, so my memory is fuzzy. And yes, I did find a quote amusing but that doesn't mean I am disparaging the entire subject of astrology. I hope this comment clarified that.
For what it's worth, I regularly read tarot for my own guidance so I don't need to be convinced these things are not always "stupid.”

i would place more weight on Leo than i would on Pisces, and i would pay attention to whatever planets are in your rising sign.

there are online free horoscope makers that will give you this info if you supply an accurate birthtime.

I think you're misunderstanding. When I replied to you, I replied more in a general sense and so that others could possibly read my reply to you and learn from it, therefore it wasn't directed at you specifically, atleast not the entire reply.
Since there are quite a few people on this thread who have replied and seem to be clearly thinking to themselves, that the whole astrology thing is one big lie or atleast most of it is not true, an explanation of things was needed more for them than for people like you, who claim to believe atleast some of the things about astrology - even though, I admit I think you're just pretending to, and you only said it to justify yourself, because you only said so after my initial reply before this one.
A lot of people, not just on WrongPlanet forums, but people in generally - including so many Israeli people I have met(I dont know about Americans but I believe, that there are many among them, as well.), who just call the whole astrology subject "stupid", and their ignorance is through the roof. There are certain stupid things, mostly stated by the same sites I mentioned before, written by non-professionals and ordinary people about the subject of astrology, who present information in a stupid way without any good proof of what they say.
I dont mean you have to prove to me or anyone else how much you believe, or not believe, in astrology, but I'm just saying what I know, and what I see.
I'd say this, also: if someone has no interest in a certain subject, I don't see much point, if at all, that this person should reply to this thread about it either, although lack of belief doesn't necessarily translate automatically into a lack of interest, but the two are similar issues.
And yes, I apologize too, not just you apologizing to me - that when I replied to you, I replied in a more general sense than actually going deep into how much you believe or not believe in astrology or something else. It seems you misunderstood / misintrepreted it, which is fine. I'm glad nobody's perfect, because nobody can be.

I think this comment of yours is unnecessary, and I said I read a lot about astrology before you ever replied to me. But thanks for that. I wanted to engage in a discussion about astrology so I did, and I was agreeing with you about the sketchy websites in an indirect way. But you can go ahead and make snide comments towards me for no reason, that's fine.

Unless they're taking into account where your dad and the nurse were standing in the delivery room, your horoscope isn't worth the paper it's printed on or the time it took to put together. You're better off reading a random fortune cookie.

I didn't mean it as an insult, and if you felt offended the moment you've read what I said, here's my apology right there.
It's strange how you are deeply concerned about just one line of text from my entire reply, instead of taking the time to think a little bit before you react to it and jump to a conclusion that I have tried to insult or make fun of you. That's so unfair of you, I never do that to other people on WrongPlanet.
Considering you took it so personally and emotionally, I'll remove that line of text now. But, I can't promise that I won't ever say something that would offend you again, even if it was unintentional.
Keep in mind - sometimes people say things on the forums, which read to you as offensive or meant to insult you personally, when in reality that wasn't the intention of the writer of that post/reply.
But, in order to keep relationship at a good position, I'll delete the line of text which offended you and we both will put this matter behind us.
By the way, you are free to participate in any future discussions, and in any threads, including mine. I don't restrict you in that sense. I think you are a smart woman and have no problems with you. Thank you!

I wouldn't stop replying to someone's threads even if I had a disagreement with them or we clashed in some way.
You didn't need to delete it and I'd never demand that of someone but I appreciate the intent. I felt like your tone was condescending, but perhaps I misinterpreted it, which does happen from time to time.

No, I feel bad about causing you to feel offended and insulted. I'm gonna delete it in a few moments. And its all good now. It's all behind us, we're gonna have a lot of friendly discussions in the future and we can forget what happened here and not feel offended anymore. Everyone's happy now, it's okay. Actually I think you're a very smart person and your contribution to discussions is huge, I forgot to state that. We'll have good and interesting discussions in other threads, you'll see.

will you please, patiently, explain how the dad and nurse's locations in the DR influence the astrology?
