I remember far back as being two and you don't really understand what is going on. You see people talking and doing things and you find yourself at strange places with your family but you won't know if it's some party or a reunion or if your parents just have a bunch of friends over or you are at their place. Everyone is a stranger to you. People you see often enough become familiar to you but you might not know they are related to you or they are friends of your parents. I remember my baby sitter. To my two year old perspective she was just another big person who often hung out at our house and my parents would be gone and it would just be me and her alone. And when we go to places, she would sometimes be there too with other people which I assume was her parents and her siblings.

I remember my high chair and stroller and wearing diapers and how comfortable they felt. I even remember Christmas of 1987 and all I remember getting is a trike and a toy piano. But I remember that trike came from a toy section in a store because I was there and my dad and these other guys were looking at it and touching it. Then I saw it in the living room one morning. I also remember going to the mall here and playing on the fake ship there that was a play area.

I assume when you start to lose your memory (dementia or Alzheimer's) it will become like this again and you won't know any different. But it gets worse because you lose your skills too you developed when you were a toddler. For Alzheimer's you go backwards.

Was the trike good? Did you ride it? Do you still have it?

I think we got rid of it and I rode it a lot till I outgrew it. It got passed on down to my brothers too and I haven't seen it since I had moved here.
