The music often popular with teenagers are mode by people in their 20s. The Beatles and Bob Dylan the sound of the boomers are not baby boomers. The Brat Pack movies and their “New Wave” soundtrack is associated with Gen X but was made by baby boomers.

Amen, brother.... I am something of a fan of Greta Van Fleet, which is a young, modern band [zoomers] who accurately describe their music as "unapologetically classic rock". They kind of remind me of the [mostly] local New Orleans band Zebra, which had a decidedly Zeppelin feel, and indeed did a few covers of Plant and Zeppelin at most of their live shows in the 1990's.

I'm actually a fan of anything good, no matter when it was created.

Top Gun and Coming to America were movies I enjoyed in my youth. But they were already a few years old and broadcast on TV. I didn't experience them NEW in theaters. I was alive, but too young to be cognizant of them when first released. Not my generation. The Little Mermaid, also lumped in here, came out during my childhood. I remember it well. I was already an adult when Harry Potter first came out, it never did anything for me personally.

So, I feel too young to be Gen X. Slightly too old to be Millennial (all based on these anecdotal postings). When did Gen Y fall out of favor??

Chronology is not the be-all and end-all in who we are.
Most auties don't feel their age.

Of Course! I am just havin' fun with this, I don't believe in such arbitrary divisions of experience.

Funny thing, though: I think of myself as "youngish", but I am finding that I am as ignorant of Generation Z and its interests as my grandfather was of mine! :cry:
