This type of thought allows people to keep doing it because no one can remember that it happened. Since the British government's feelings get hurt when we remind them of the approximately one million people who died during the Irish Potato Famine, should we erase that too?

It's so easy to deny things when we only have a vague idea of what happened: case in point: Neo Nazis denying that there ever was Holocaust, this was the systematic extermination of approximately 6-Million once living and breathing humans by the Third Reich. Please do not erase these people's memories. BTW Joseph Stalin was way better than the Nazis at erasing people...
